Chennai citizen and community is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this proposal inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen.

Like Power water also become a precious commodity. To sustain supply of quality water, water usage in every house should be properly measured and charged accordingly. This will also promote conservation of water and by providing the usage data of water. In Chennai some areas get more water and other areas do not get water at all. I Suggest Providing advanced smart water meter systems to every house. Measuring the water is an important step towards sustainable water supply to Chennai.

1.We need garbage processing and plastic recycling units so as all waste is smartly converted into reusable items and thereby reducing our carbon footprint 2.Our city's traffic woes can easily be addressed by providing more AC buses fitted with GPS module which interacts to customers via mobile app and promoting initiative like "car free day"

One of the problem for Chennai residents is the open urination of the people near parks, residential areas, etc. To prevent this, as part of the Smart city, Upgraded Namma toilet with automatic flushing system using recycled water should be placed at locations where people frequently urinate.

Dear Corporation, some ideas for making chennai smart city: 1) Like we have in kumbakonam we can make all bus stops attached to a ATM and fit it with AC. Also make bus stops informative with CITY MAPS, BUS ROUTES, We can display a dashboard which will tell which bus will come next in how many minutes. LIKE 70 Will come in 3 mins etc. 2) make bulk of our transports operate with BIO-FUEL / SOLAR POWER, save the earth 3) clean up KOOVAM, 4) STREAMLINE entire city with proper drainage and water

Today more than 40% of our city is covered with tar roads which run deep more than 10 feet. In this scenario all the rain water get drained into storm water drains and nothing goes into the ground. Jus as our honourable chief minister. J. Jayalalitha had decades back announced rain water harvesting for buildings. We must do the same for the roads. Say in every 100 ft we can dig 1 ft wide hole for a depth of 30 ft and cover the same with efficient filters, this will help regain ground water

we have look at Tamil Nadu as such and not chennai in isolation.Any investment for smart city will attract migration due to emp. opps. in various sectors.so potential tier two and three cities also to be simaltaneously developed.Otherwise it will be a failure scheme.
