Instead of the testing the smart city on a brown field city the concept can be executed in a greenfield city or suburb such as IT corridor,Sriperumbudur industrial hub and thiruvallur corridor.

A few mandatory elements of any smart city, in my opinion:
2) Air Quality: sensors need to be installed in key points to collect data on a real-time basis;
3) similar measures required for water quality measurements / management.

Will the state government allow the smart city CEO to function independently as any CEO in IT industry?If yes,then we can draft a practical and viable concept with the active participation of the people of the location.

A few mandatory elements of any smart city, in my opinion:
1) Ultra-smart traffic management: Unquestionably, given the huge infrastructure constraints, the Chennai Traffic Police (CTP) do a great job of managing traffic in the city. However, there is an urgent need to support the CTP with some smart tools so they can do that much better! There are advanced solutions (consisting of cameras and other sensors, signaling systems all controlled by software) that help in efficient traffic flows!
