Parking of vehicle on main/ busy road must be banned and people should be encouraged to park vehicle in orderly manner in less congested road and then walk. , Encourage car, bike sharing ( taxi, auto, private vehicle) by means of technology ( facebook, bla bla car, Apps)
chennai city can have its own travel assist app which enable anyone to share ride on the same rote. also safe parking space at many junction points is required.

Smart City should consider the following Green Environment, Renewable energy, Modern amenities and Sustainability.
Atleast 30-40% of the space should be dedicated to parks and greenery, the residents should be encouraged to create their own green area for the overall benefit of the Smart City.
Biogas, solar power for public areas, homes and offices.
Rain water harvest, transport connectivity, internet connectivity, etc
Sustainability by forming core groups to manage the smart city.

To create a smart city the following are some of the steps that one needs to consider .
1. Zoning ( Commercial , Residential , industrial )is a major criteria for master plan. The major problem faced in growing cities is zoning which is often not considered. There is no need for Mixed residential zone as this creates lot of congestion in the neighborhood. For residential zones allocate retail zones for convenience of residents. Offer approvals based on zoning .

planning is the responsibility ofthe residents ofthe ward and not the corportionstaff or the councillors. Each ward should have its contribution for its well being. No GOs or government interference allowed in this micro planning. No rigid template like provisions in the making the locality a livable one.The creativity of the citizens should replace the outdated bureaucratic stereo type work plan. The people's' views pros and cons tobe again discussed by the peoples'forum. Their approval is final.
