As now days we are more discussing on how to save energy, but we are not disscussing on how to revive environmeent. As now days our country is facing water problems, many area's are in the condition of drought. So it is necessary for our government to make policy on rain water harvesting, specially in big cites where there is lots of concretisation. This will increase ground water level that solves not only problem of water but helps in many other evnvironmental problems.

sir, as there is only two months remaining in the monsoon. so why do our government didn't take steps for rain water harvesting. Like odd even in delhi the governemnt chief of every state has to announce to start rain water harvesting. Government should make funds for this, as rain water harvesting increase ground water level which helps us to solve the drought like problem.

I think that going all green would be a good way to save energy, like for electricity, we can use solar systems completely (instead of fulfilling the half demand by solar means), implementing compulsory rain water harvesting systems in all societies at least, proper collection and recycling of plastic and leaving compulsory space for planting trees in any construction.

By following the age-old maxim:
Early to bed and early to rise
we can save quite a lot of energy.
Also our dress should be attuned to the weather/climate/season. That will reduce the need to use energy for heating and cooling purposes.

We should initiate and implement a "Smart City Light" project where all the street lights across country should have smart features as below.
1. LEB bulb for energy save 2) Camera for surveillance of any suspicious activities 3) Auto ON/OFF sensor with respect to sunlight 4) Car Charger, mobile charger point 5) Alarm/SoS in case any emergency to connect control room 6) Wi-Fi
Useful for energy save, security, communication.

plant trees where ever possible thus saving energy on fans and ac.use of heat radiating building materials should be minimised.
