“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

Ppl r ready to accept solar as power system who r well off.only thing is govt instead of spending billion dollars if dey give incentive of 80% only for 3 yrs to install at home rooftop..not one or two but majority will attempt to capture this offer. Also new buildings smart apartments prevent genset backups nd pls ensure they use solar electricity grid system. Excess power during hours or office hours can be given to local power industry. But a gud initiative of taking suggestn

SHRI MODI SAAB, As asked for innovation in all sectors like PETROLEUM production to Minimize all our IMPORTS to SAVE MONEY for Development.GREAT INNOVATIVE IDEA of Generation CLEAN energy efficient PETROL, DIESEL, GASOLINE etc., by converting all THE PLASTICS GARBAGE into PETROL through "Thermal de-polymerization" process using hydrous pyrolysis for the reduction of complex organic BIOMASS & PLASTIC materials into light crude oil.Like natural geological processes were involved for Fossils fuels.

For some cities where local train or metro is provided, than we can provide local city bus from railway station to industrial area. We can provide more bus during beginning of working hour and end of regular working hour. And in regular interval. In case good number of bus are provided where employees can easily travel, than no one will use personnel vehicles.

For this little commitment from our officers is required. They can make list of companies ask HR of these companies regarding regarding their residential address. In system using excel file also we can sort out the area wise employees & arrange the bus accordingly. After fixed time we can provide common bus to two or three areas in regular interval. So that this will help late working employees. With some initial planning and little observation we can save fuel and reduce vehicles on road.

Usually in Industrial area many companies work different time. Talk to those companies which are near by and make their working hours same. And arrange common bus from each residential area to directly this company. We can talk HR of these companies and request employees to use these bus. We can negotiate different timings to each area, so that we can manage to minimize the number of buses. This will save fuel and reduce number of vehicles on road (so pollution will be reduced).

And another idea like the frame(chokhat) of doors and windows which is also made up of wood can also be saved, and can save lakhs of trees. Instead of wood we can use marbles or granites which are more strong and durable. And can also flourish marble industries. I know these number of trees or wood doesn’t matter for such a huge country but, “boond boond se hi gada bharta he” Rishabh jain
