“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

I have an idea to save wood ! We know that pencil is made up of wood. And in India there is a vast business of pencils, so what will happen if we will not use pencils? We can save upto lakhs of trees and instead of this we can use pen pencil. Therefore, approx. 1.1 lakh tone of wood can be saved. By this it’s clear that we can use pen pencils instead of pencils. As pen pencil is made up of plastic so,it has can be used and has no effect on environment

I have one suggestion on GAS subsidy (Give It Up) scheme, Currently the "give it up" can be opted if we are ready to give the subsidy for lifetime. can this be enabled with one more option like "give it up for month" as some people may be not able to give it up subsidy for lifetime but they would be able to give it up for that month. so if you enable option while booking the cylinder "do u wish to get the subsidy for this month with YES/NO would be helpful" for consumer to choose

Received and sharing with you all "There are many appropriate projects like algae, which has around 40% oil content, which can be cultivated in thousands of acres of waste land in India. Algae needs only waste water , sun light and carbon dioxide to grow. Bio fuel , methane gas and power can be produced from algae farms and this can be a game changer. While millions of dollars are being invested in USA and other western countries in algae sector, nothing has been done in India."

With the growing needs of power for the residents of the cities & towns,I feel that it is tough Govt to prioritize the distribution between cities and villages. The solar village initiative is a leap & a perfect solution. To the #PM I would like to give a suggestion to enforce certain rules for Township projects in cities to harness at least 10% of their energy requirements (common building lights etc.) through non-conventional sources. This will reduce our carbon footprint & save electricity.

#Tree #plantation If Everybody plants a tree every year and take care of that plant so by doing this we can save our planet and this is not a tough task . If we start doing this from today we will be able to decrease the #CO2 emission and lots of other things. So its my request to Prime Minister sir please raise this issue with public in #MaanKiBaat.

Sir, defence establishments are also one the largest users of electrical supply. Steps must be taken to authorise led bulbs, tube lights, solar water heaters and effiecient power resources
