To reduce splurge of potable water at public places, all the government offices and public places like malls, railway stations, bus stops etc should be fitted with the LED operated water taps. So that water would come out only when it is being used. of all the time we stand in front of the water tap only 10-20% time we use time and for remaining time the tap water remain flowing. This is hugh splurge. Government could subsidies this technology for wider adoption by these institutions.

Sir, like in gujrat villages all highway and other metropolitan cities should have street lights as well as malls and office buildings completely sourced from solar energy. We can also have all our irrigation drains and canals covered with solar panels so less water is polluted and evaporates.
Like we are using wind energy in costal belt and remote rajasthan we can similarly use it in ladakh region where wind is so fast that at times even solar panels get damaged because of it.

street lights should be linked to light sensors for auto cut off. right now this is linked to timing and manual intervention, and energy is getting waste.
every household having water pump must have overhand tank full alarm linked to it and auto cut system installed. this will save water and electricity both.
every govt. office should have a energy audit officer, who must have a target of reducing energy and water consumption for his unit.

Everyday thousands of gallons of fresh water is wasted due to overflow of water from water tanks. People think that as soon as overflow starts they will turn off the motor. But in spite of their honest efforts many litres of water is wasted.
So such devices should be made available which can automatically turn off motor pump. These devices are already available in market but most of people don't know about them (generally in small towns & villages).
I have also created a device (Overflow Control) for this purpose using old toys and waste products when I was in 10th std. So I want to tell this technique to my youngers so that they can build it themselves for fun and water is also saved.
I used empty use and throw pens, plastic ball, spoons, old toy's DC motor, wires and mobile charger(DC Source) to make it.
Mobile charger is used to convert AC into DC, which is used to run the DC motor fitted on the switch board near water motor switch. The switch of this circuit will be near water tank.
As water touches the ball it floats resulting the lower spoon to have circular turn in vertical direction and touching one of side spoons(either in left or right) completing the circuit. Then DC motor starts and switches the water motor off.
Note: For reference you can see pictures in attachment.

We saw several street light is ON during the sunny days. It consumes lots of energy of no use. There should be some mechanizm so that all street light GO OFF after one hour of sun rise and GO ON before one hour of sun set. We can develop some IT solution in this regards.
