“The earth, water and the air are not a gift to us from our parents but a loan from our children.” ---Anonymous

Energy resources have transformed human lives and lifestyles. Energy resources have allowed for human achievement and ambition to move from the potter’s wheel, farmer’s plough and the weaver’s loom to space missions and robots among others. However, the modern world looms in the shadow of a severe energy crisis: the result of unsustainable and inefficient use of energy resources.

Unsustainable and inefficient energy consumption threatens the very basis of life as we have come to know it. In the face of the increasing scarcity of energy resources it is imperative that we launch a committed, concerted and cumulative effort towards holistic energy use habits and sustainable consumption patterns.

Energy conservation most importantly means that conservation becomes an all pervasive habit, an everyday philosophy and practice that aims to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, adoption of energy efficient lifestyles and fostering innovations in green and clean energy technologies.

D&NHPDCL invites suggestions, guidance, comments from citizens, self-help groups, environmental organisations towards developing Energy Conservation as a habit towards an energy secure future.

Electricity Board App: Government can create an App (iOS and Andriod) by using which any citizen who see streetlights ON during daytime, can report their GPS location. Using this location, EB department can find out the lights area and switch it off.

Hi All, I feel the issue of pollution in metropolitan cities is grave. Also, it is a consequence of the huge number of vehicles running on the roads, emitting a whooping of 3,750,000 tons of carbon monoxide(in the year 2010; source: http://www.urbanemissions.info/india-road-transport). As such, use of public transport should be encouraged in the cities, but at the same time these services should be efficient, which they are not at all.

170GW Solar Energy production capacity target can achieve as follows. a)Temples which are having the surples Roofs itself, but not utilised for this solar purpose. Here we can give the chances to the Local Registred System Integrators "To put the Mini Girid or Micro Grid based on space available" by promote them as "Solar Energy Manufactures-SME Catagory by support them by funding with 5% rate of interest. This will be helpful to produce the solar as Captive Plant. Sincere Thanks.

Everyday we show so many light are glowing through out the day in almost all type of industry especially in government industry. There is no body cares about the power consumption & wastage of power because all the employees are think they are produce the power and all of them are not thinking about our national property wastage.(coal).We can make a law against the wastage and should be punish them....otherwise the day comes we could not get any electricity to survive.......Jai Hind...........
