In summer where coolers are not applicable, ceiling fans save the day. There are models of BRUSHLESS D C MOTORS available with some enterprises which REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY HALF. If the government were to promote research in this field actively, perhaps our electrical energy requirements would reduce drastically.

I was wondering if it is possible to genetically engineer trees to clean up the atmosphere, trees that that would take in all the oxides of sulphur, carbon and nitrogen and ionise them to their elemntal form and safely accumulate them metabolically or otherwise.

Only awareness can save a lot of energy. Pre set ELECTRICITY Meters for KW AND KWH Should be designed so that in case of excess load or units ,the meters will go off. METERS should be operated with prepaid cards after paying the required amount based upon units and kw. if someone consumes more load (kw) or units, the power supply will switch over to emergency mode and if not controlled,it will go off. By doing so, it will create awareness among otherwise one cannot control and save energy.

DUAL PRICIING OF PETROL, DIESEL, CNG, PNG along can force indians to reduce their spending. For all public transports, let there be a PUBLIC TRANSPORT FUEL PRICE. For all private transport, PRIVATE TRANSPORT FUEL PRICE. The ratio between public transport price and private transport price, should be 1:2 . For example, instead of price of Rs70 per litre, let petrol be sold Rs50 for public transport and Rs 100 for private transport. All fossil fuels, which are imported, should be priced like that
