Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Thank you for reducing the petroleum product cost. Actually it's not your complete credit, it's due to global cost reduction of OIL. So it is grate opportunity - you can buy max oil for now (whenever cost is low) & save for future use by creating fuel station with small money investment. As petrol can be stored for ages. For this purpose we can use waste land present in India. This will create job opportunities keeping cost of petroleum product almost constant with no effect of GLOBAL OIL hike.

Petroleum exploration and development business is viewed as exploitative by a part of the local community in many places the industry operates. International oil companies have faced this issue for long and have managed it progressively better over time. One common theme throughout has been a focus to identify & invest on key community relevant issues (disease control, sanitation, education..) at higher than prevailing country standards and sustain it for the people to compare with the past.

The Govt. should take immediate steps to ensure that cooking gas replaces other methods of cooking ex: kerosene, burning wood. This would make environment clean. The gas cylinder supply then automatically stringently monitored to reduce leakage/pilferage. The Govt. coffers would also swell which will be good for fiscal health.

Each Indian owning a vehicle should be asked not to use vehicle on two working days/ days he generally uses the vehicle. Or there should be 2 days no vehicle should be used in the country. Usage for medical emergency should obviously be exempt. The saving on petrol like this will be huge and it will be a huge step in making the country debt free as we will reduce oil import bill.

Maine paper me padha tha ki America jaisa desh petrolium me atmanirbhar hone ke liye jamin ke andar chipka hua oil nikalne ke Technic banayi hai. Hum atmanirbhar hone ke liye Petrolium Products me ETHENOL MIXING kyo nahi karte. Kisi desh ne 100% ETHENOL par gadiya chalayi hai to hum ETHENOL mixing 20% tak kyo nahi kar sakte. Jabki hamare pas availability bhi hai. Iske bareme decision lene me itni deri kyo. Kerocine aur GAS subcidy bank khatome hi jama ho to iska duruyopag bhi kam hoga.

Terrain in NE is difficult in terms of exploration as it requires high end technology which are with two or three leading drilling companies and its patented. It requires high exploration cost. However, JVs with foreign companies or technology sharing could be one of the best option.

Stop criss cross movement of oil products. The 3 psu omc should be merged. It will save logistics cost and also unnecessary tax outgo. Or else sell 2 of the omc
