Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Mr. Modi like his predecessor prime ministers succumbed to the pressure of bureaucrats. After giving six months extension to sri Ajit Seth, Cabinet Secretary, now has given another extension of six months to him. To me Ajit Seth is not indispensable. By giving extensions the present PM is both directly and indirectly demotivating the spirit of other serving bureaucrats, I request Sri Modi for not giving any extension to any bureaucrat unless and otherwise it is that urgent for the nation.

I regret to state here that had the mental stress meted out to a customer been a yardstick to measure the level of corruption and lawlessness in an organisation, then the LPG distribution system under IOC Ltd would be rated as the most corrupt department in our country! There is no transparency at all on the distribution status of LPG cylinders. Why don't IOC start a mobile app from which any citizen across India can get the status of distribution and free us of this stress?

We should focus on more non-perishable sources as renewable forms from biomass. India primarily based on an agriculture based economy should utilize agricultural waste more effciently by more efficient reactor designs by bringing in foreign support on reactor configurations. We posses the raw materials in abundance but lack skilled labor due to turmoil of economic conditions. Supportive measures can be undertaken to promote usage and enhance production.

This is the time when international crude prices are lower by 40%.we should import more and more crude at this stage so that in ffuture when fuel prices go up we have enough fuel to control inflation and other commodities and it will also control import bill.

Crude prices are getting down day by day.Indian strategic petroleum reserves(ISPRL) building 5MMT crude reserves for India. If GOI can expedite these ISPRL projects ,country will able to store around 5MMT of crude oil.Out of 3 ISPRL Projects ,ISPRL Vizag is almost ready for Crude Intake but not able to do so due to red tape bureaucracy.PMO and Petroleum ministry must look into this. This is the right time to buy and store crude oil.
