Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

Abhi bhi east up berojgar hai yaha ab bhi kafi garibi h par ek cheez jo h woh hai ecological stability woh bhi kuch districts mein jaha ab bhi haryali hai jaise gonda, balrampur, lakhimpur, bahraich, maharajganj ,kushinagar ,sravasti aur yehi sukoon bhi h toh mere apse vinti h ki aap yaha devlopment toh karae par forest ko kum se kum. Nuksaan ho aur hum chate h ke TOURISM KO BADHAWA YAHA DIYA JA SAKTA HAI AGAR YAHA KE CHOTE BADE FOREST REGION KO NATIONAL PARKS BANA DIYA JAYE TOH FOREST DEGRADATOR

As you talk about holy River ganga cleaness but whats happening in reality is something beyond cleaness ,i only want to say that ki agar aap biogas banaye gobar ka use karke ya organic compost pit mein compost se decompose hone se niklne wale gas methane se power banaye aur jo non biodegradable waste ko incubators lagakar unhe kam kare toh yeh hamare dams ,nuclear plants, geothermal plants se jyada environmental friendly hoga

Mr narendra modi i am a very small person but i would like to take attention towards east up as you are launching different devlopment schemes for diff parts but have you thought that what impact will be there on climatic condition in short i would like to present my view regarding power generation in our country as you know about sonbhadra where different power plants are established but they are emitting huge amount of harmful contents which is creating disabilities and multiple organ failure

All people will work for the development of our nation to the extent of possible. All should either participate or contribute to the extent of possible for the development of our nation. All resources should be saved to the extent of possible. For example, water not only drinking water , all water should be used carefully without wasting them. If all of us follow the same, the savings on these comes to a large quantity. It is also a service to our nation.

Out of the box ideas of offering higher rate of royalty to the states for all the infrastructure and security support they provide can be thought of. Centre will have to allocate some budget for such higher royalty provisions, but at the end with increased E&P activities, centre will earn in form of higher tax and lesser imports leading to significant FE gain.

...continued... whats the solution?? 1) incentivize operators in the region to increase CSR activities by reducing central tax (locals will benefit) 2) lot of natural gas in the region is left unproduced in absence of demand, GoI should buy such natural gas and convert it to power (will benefit state government) 3) Gas Pipeline Connectivity between states of Tripura, Assam and Manipur will allow development of hydrocarbon in Manipur. State will benefit from royalty. 4) States should bld roads

I am currently working in E&P industry of India, with major focus on NE region. Few reasons behind lesser participation in E&P activities in hydrocarbon rich NE region, 1) lack of infrastructure in hilly terrain where heavy drilling rigs are difficult to move 2) limited demand of hydrocarbon in the region, no interstate pipeline connectivity, no connectivity with mainland 3) security concerns among operators 4) sense of getting looted among the locals 5) no co-operation between state government

we should give much research facility in the area of non conventional source of energy. The challenges to be faced in future in petroleum sector can be easily avoided. Yes it is possible to run an engine through HYDROGEN from water sources. So more research should be made in this sector.

India (ONGC) should start Oil exploration work in 2-3 Vietnamese oil blocks in the South China Sea as soon as possible. There is no need to fear with china because China is also developing roads and other infrastructure projects in POK. Why we pay attention towards China government warning while they are doing illegal development on POK.
