Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

With the falling oil prices and Petrol/Diesel being a daily use commodity for public, it should be a necessity that the pricing schema be transparent as in a way to justify the price of petrol/diesel as and when needed. I'm just trying to understand when the Crude Oil Prices have fallen by ~35% in the international arena, Why are the consumers been passed with just a mere 15% price drop? Ideally, hould have been at the least a 25-30 5 drop considering the increasing $ vs INR & transmission loss

As we all are just concentrating on the price of Oil , but can we think how we can reduce the consumption. As in Singapore , registration fee for all the new vehicles should increase , All the Govt offices, public sector , big corporate houses should ban the individuals to bring the four wheeler. Or they have to use it full to its capacity by polling. Parallely govt should facilitate the Govt conveyance and encourage people to use that only. Will solve some traffic and oil cons. problem.

with global crude oil prices going down we should use our dollar reserves and buy crude oil and increase our reserves which could balance our import export bill. This is what china is following today

Honorable Prime Minister Modiji, For current all the Vehicles present in India can run successfully on Fuel Mixture = 80% Petrol + 20 % Ethanol. No modification is required in vehicle. Ethanol is a byproduct of Sugar Mills/Factories. Hence we can reduce our dependency of East countries by 20% if we mix Ethanol in Petrol. This can reduce Petrol Prices in Totality

A Social audit and Financial audit of All oil companies, both private and Public is required as I think, now petroleum companies are not showing the exact position of the Import ,refining, distribution of crude oil and and it's refined product like-petrol,diesel,kerosene,Aviation Fuel, lubricants etc.Now the price of petrol and diesel decreased but the same is not reflecting in the transport cost and Railways. It seems import policy 20 percent on int.market price and rest bulk.No reduction in prices.

Connectivity is major issue in NE friendly relations with bangladesh and asean will help to address this issue, once the connectivity is improved automatically the opporunities of local goods and art work to export will increase and in turn boost the production in an native manner ,connectivity with the mainland will help NE people to be in sync with whats going on in rest of the nation, which in turn will raise the aspiration of the people to follow, the governments will then forced to meet it.

Awareness is required to be spread among local inhabitants so that lower local friction is faced by organizations in implementing a project. Government may hire volunteers directly for this type of initiative with a proper remuneration, else, right/appropriate persons may not join the initiative.
