Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

We are highly skilled any have 21 years of experience in technology. One of the things I was interested was Digital Railways and Skill Development. I have some ideas on Digitizing the Railways, where train becomes intelligent and make informed low level decisions itself by what we call as Internet of Things. I would like to offer my technical knowledge in that area. Would be great if Railway Ministry can advice how I can present the ideas and also Ministry of HRD on Skill development.

the management of OMC's need to be revamped. In most of the cases, its seen that the employee costs are very high which in turn gets passed on to the customers and also omc's bleed. Rationale thinking need to be imposed while deciding on employee benefits including freebees. Admitted that onshore employees need to be compensated while its seen that offshore employees those in marketing, backoffice operations are paid very heavily. When gas pipelines are being laid across nations over long distances, pipelines from gas-filling stations to users are possible. This assumes that domestic and commercial gas is same. I understand gas is already supplied through pipeline in some places in our country.

Likeo water and power distribution networks, smaller LPG gas substations may be established in different localities in a town, and supply gas via pipeline through meter to users. Domestic users can be easily segregated from commercial users and charge slabs may be suitably fixed. Like electricity, charge-slabs may be fixed as per usage. This helps the company to save by eliminating cylinders (& transport). This eliminates lot of paper work for the users, transfer issues when shifting residence

It is unfortunate that we are not treated at par with other erstwhile colleagues who are granted exgratia termed as Agrani Samman with effect from 1-1-2003. The later Asha Kiran scheme also deprives us by unrealistic income upper limit of Rs. 10,000 per month for availing such benefits. We are being subjected to injustice by ONGC & Ministry of P&NG during the past several years by strangely not accepting our requests to do justice and take corrective action.

Sir, the elected Public representatives to the constitutional bodies are entitled to a pension, if they are in office even for one term of 5 years, but a select group who served ONGC with all sincerity and devotion for 25-35 years at very responsible levels are deprived of this minimum consideration to live with some honour and dignity. The retired senior executives/employees of ONGC in the age group of 68-85 years seek justice. Most of us are getting pittance as pension (annuities)
