Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

For Shri Manohar Parikar 1. The education of officers of the Indian Army needs to be augmented in diplomacy. This should be done by integrating curriculum of LBS along with Army,Navy and AF at junior levels. This is critical, as the current level of knowledge on the functioning of the world is no where near adequate. 2. It is important that Officers of the Army are specifically trained to write SQRs and design tests accordingly for the equipment which is to be inducted.

I am Kaushal Nalkar from Mumbai I think that india should use more solar energy as its pollution free and easily available. Although Germany doesn't have as many sunny days as we have ,still it contributes 50% of global market of photovoltaic cells which are used to convert sun rays into electricity, while India contributes only 1% .I think we should also grant loans for solar projects.

Sir.. the participation of both government state aswell as central in industrial areas should also keep an intrest in designing of less pollutant outlets which leave less harmful gases , these may be a better step to control air pollution too

Namaste Sir. When an Indian passport expires, there is a provision to get it extended within a 3 day time period, called the Tatkal service. It is awesome that this service is being offered. The service is about 3 times more expensive than regular service in the US. But we can use the Tatkal service only if there is an emergency. And a letter is needed describing the emergency. Is it possible to have the Tatkal service available even without a family emergency? We pay a premium for service awys.
