Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

In every city long road dividers are built to prevent the traffic to take turn at the intersections leading to consumption of fuel. The long commuting is a national loss. In USA no road dividers, and traffic signals are provided even at short distance (in Cleverland I noticed that there three traffic signals with in a distance of 2 KMs. to allow traffic to go into the lanes on either side. Such practice should be there in India and also zebra crossing with a signal to allow the pedestrians cros

Swatch Bharat is a continuous process and every one should help to keep India clean in all respects. For this Govt. can do some simple things. If there is a ban on writing on the compound and other walls all over India it gives a great clean look. Spitting and smoking in public places keep larger areas like the roads, walls in Govt. offices clean. Urination in public is a common scene every where which is mainly due to absence of locating urinals at 500 metres distance.
