Besides academics and sports, all schools should lay stress on healthy eating and fitness. Junk food should be prohibited in schools. Fitness regimes should be followed strictly under guidance. Both government & private school children, even play school children are usually seen munching chips and kurkara etc. Urgent need to address this and stress on a balanced diet & excerci

Physical health: Nutritious and healthy food through a balanced diet. Strong awareness campaigns are needed so that parents understand the composition and importance of a balanced meal. Apart from this, regular exercise is required. Yog and Surynamaskar should be made compulsory in schools. This is will ensure that our children grow up as healthy adults
Mental health: Regular meditation for even 10-20 minutes helps in strengthening mental health. This should also be made compulsory.

A healthy individual in not just someone who eats, sleeps and exercises in balance with nature. Every school should have a compulsory daily sports period, where they should be taught about yoga, meditation , and various sports depending on the faculty available. We should not follow the west where kids depend on junk food and a lathargic life of computers. Rather should leran from there mistakes. Physical activity should be a daily affair in schools and colleges both.

I think the priority is to mandate a clean, well eshtablished toilets and drinking water sources in every school,no matter it's in rural or urban area. Most of the contagious diseases can be avoided spreading from the schools.

As per the saying " PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE ", it will be wise to have regular Eye, Dental, Malnutrition, etc. check-ups in schools & to be monitored periodically and given to Govt./Local Medical authorities like :
( 1 ) Once in 5 years upto the age of 35.
( 2 ) Once in 3 years for those in the age group of 36-45.
( 3 ) Once in 2 years for those in the age group of 46-55.
( 4 ) Once in an year for those aged 60 & above.
This will ensure that all are fit & healthy always.

Examination system should be such that it provides each child to individually assess and grow his/her skills and talents.
It must have aspects of open ended questions whereby the child can express his her views on things and be creative adaptive and expressive at the same time.
Examination systems must include values based questions.
Education must link to the day-to-day lives, culture, society, nation, world and environment.
Education must promote human, social, cultural & moral coaching.
