Maximum focus is required on toilets in schools.it is practically difficult to use toilets for students in schools. Teachers n students should use the same toilets. Normally teachers keep separate toilets. Regular health checck ups should b done in schools, through companies corporate social responsibility scheme, our students will b healty with timely diagnose. Healthy mind lives in healthy body.

It is imperative that each village, even in the remotest and the farthest corner country at that, must have the facilities to render medical care to each and every child so that the health factor is reckoned with effectively. Health factor OF THE CHILD MUST GET PRECEDENCE OVER ANY AND EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF SOCIAL SPHERE. ALL STAKEHOLDERS MUST GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER WITHOUT WITHOUT WORKING AT CROSS PURPOSES. LET THERE BE NO LET UP. ANY LET UP ON THIS COUNT WILL BE RUED BY POSTERITY.

Mid day meal is a govt. incentive to decrease dropout rate but decreasing dropout rate is not going to boost learning outcome but could eventually decrease it because students come to school with a mindset of eating food and not learning!! And the quality of mid day meals are also not upto the marks of health standards!

Sir,our social setup in villages can never support the dietary needs of a growing child. This will only have a deleterious efect on the child health who is the future of our country. Our govt.must take responsibility of at least three time meal to every enrolled child in school. We can get financial support for this purpose from saving funds from anemia programes and financial aid given to children which actually never reaches the children and is lost at the level of parents themselves.

Sir, when Weekly Iron Folic acid Supplementation Programe (WIFS) was launched in India to prevent anemia in children.I personally fail to understand that when this large blue tablet is to be taken only after having meal and not empty stomach, then how can this tablet benefit those children who are anemic because of inadequate diet and are technically empty stomach most of the time in the day. What is the solution for these children who are struck in this vicious cycle of empty stomach and anemia?

Mid day meal is a misundestood concept. It is a meal to attract children to school and help them spend time in school. IT IS NOT A MAIN COURSE OF MEAL. For a child to grow, he needs several high quality meals in a day. But unfortunatly, people as well as government has never tried to look beyond mid day meal. Children in villages are largly dependent on single mid day meal for entire day. This has lead to malnourishment in children. Anemia is the major projection of this mismanagment. Jai Hind
