The Government of India issued guidelines for the promotion of payments through cards and digital means on 29th February, 2016. The guidelines can be seen (here). A Committee was also constituted under the Chairmanship of Shri Ratan P Watal, Principal Advisor, NITI Ayog and Former Finance Secretary with key industry stakeholders, RBI and concerned Government Departments to review medium term measures necessary to promote the digital payment system in the Country. The Committee’s report can be seen here.

The Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India invites public Comments / suggestions on the report. We invite you to read the report and provide your valuable feedback and suggestions by 11th January 2017. The final decision on the Report will be taken after considering the comments/suggestions received on the Report.

Why all banks taking charge of 1.7% to 2.00% on the transaction of swipe machine? When government trying to make cashless transaction as more as possible why banks take this kind of charges? When banks take extra charges the merchants not going to pay on their own. They take it from customers and overall prices increase. I think government have to look after it.

SEND BANK STAFF TO EVERY SCHOOL WITH DEMO MATERIALS OF DIGITAL PAYMENTS AND GIVE LIVE DEMO TO ALL STUDENTS AND TEACHER. THEY WILL MOTIVATE THEIR PARENTS IT WILL REACH FAST TO EVERYONE

For the efficient execution of digital payment initiative, 1. I would urge government to implement it in phased manner. Phase 1: Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities Phase 2: Tier 3 & Tier 4 cities 2. To start with this government should first make digital payment option available for all transactions with government bodies whether it is central, state, or municipal.

Make app for windows phone. No any government app are available in windows phone due to this a large number of the people are unable to get government benefits. So make availability of app for windows phone

The digitalisation idea is excellent, but we must be aware about online financial crimes. We could resolve this threat by verifying the loopholes. We could check the existing crimes that occurred in the past and built a foolproof system that would tackle this sort of crimes.

As per the instruction of Mr. Arun Jaitley / Government of India after demonetization, can Life Insurance policy holder expecting 8% or 10% discount by paying SBI life premium online? SBI people says they do not receives orders / instruction from Govt of India.

A suggestion involving General Public in governence. People are willing to pay by cashless mode but person/dealer refuses to accept cashless payment pleading that either machine's not working or connectivity problems etc. Dealers also increase price 12-20% pleading that component of service tax/VAT etc. is added. Start a toll free helpline so that people can submit details of such dealers and strict action like sealing their premises etc be done without revealing details of complainant.
