when a Doctor can become Surgeon-General of USA then why not in India. All state and central secretaries/DySecretaries/AsstSecretaries of health are non-medical or non-doctor. We have made the health-science into social-science. Pity.

PublicSector-Banks/Undertakings/Enterprises/Insurance-companies, RBI, IDBI, SEBI, Universities, IITs, IIMs, IISc, Port trusts, Defence, Govt. Institutes whose Board is not expert in Health but hiring the Medical Officers and placing them in different level which is against constitution of India.MoHFW must issue broader guidelines and comparable hierarchical payscale and grade to follow administrative laws.promotional avenues must laid down medical officers as MoFS done for PSBs.

Basic medicines do not reach on time to government hospitals that are located in the tribal zones. There is high level of corruption involved in distribution of medicines. Docters are often forced to get medicines from private stores by paying money which often comes free of cost. There is corruption in every minute places which lay hidden from our eye. Government should work on this.
