4. a former congress minister had commented that indian rail passengers trave, 'ca***e class' and now its upto the present government how and to what extent we increase the number of bogies to allow more passengers, and please remember, they will pay fares, and dont travel for free.

As it is seen that most of the time the passenger is idle. Especially the kids. Govt. should spare one complete bogie or part of compartment for recreation where passengers can pay & avail various activities. The initial infrastructure can be obtained through sponsors so IR would not spend anything but start earning revenues as passengers start using this facility.
This can be similar to any mobile recreation activities as we have in cruse.

Railway stations have alot of unutilized land be it underground or over ground. This notional land capacities could be utilized for warehousing/parking underground, and for malls, hotels, restaurants, cine complexes etc overground on top & underground the existing infrastructure of the station.

1.allow advertisements in and out side the raiwlay-bogies.
2. allow the use of railway line to run private railways, just like there are private air lines and private buses on government owned roads. the fares can be capped at the level equal to the indian railways.
3. increase the length of the railway platforms from the present approx 1.5 kilometeres to more than 3 kilometers to accommodate more bogies, it will also help the passengers, who travel many a times standing.

CLEAN TOILETS,PAID WELL as per use- A lot of people do not use long distance trains because of dirty toilets. Old bogies can be used to make toilets. (apart from existing ones). These will serve a couple of wagons on either side. Safai karmcharis will be paid as per use to clean after every use. Railways can charge per use, say Rs 100/- so as to take care of expenses of cleaning material and labour. RESULT: Overall increase in usage of trains and use of old bogies, also more revenue generation.
