Sir, The ratio of number of tickets booked to number of passengers travelling on train is uneven. Many passengers travel in general coach without a ticket sometimes this situation is seen in sleeper coaches as well. So I would suggest IR to take a disciplinary approach towards it and make travelling bit stringent for them. Also Like you have 2-tier AC 3-tier AC, Introduce economy class 2-tier economy, 3-tier economy etc that does not have AC but has some better facilities than SLR.

Railway should allow only sale of Rail Neer contactors sell local water at Railway Approved Prices. Railway should appoint separate contractors for sale of Rail Neer. railway should sign JV's for manufacturing Rail Neer and distribution.
Railway should allot land parallel to railway tracts to BPL persons who should grow vegetables and sell to Railway Contractors on profit sharing basis.
Railway should add extra entertainment coach on long distant trains which should show movies on chargeable

I am providing my services on Interactive Digital Broadcast or Digito Indian Railways through private vendors since last 5 years. I've seen the activities of Indian Railways (inside coaches and on railway platforms, as well as in various rooms) closely. There are lots of areas where Indian Railways can plan to generate revenue on PPP model, where the department can generate revenue other than fares. Like provide space to third parties / corporates for interior advertising on Seats, Berths, etc.

In mumbai local trains, when trians reach the LAST STATION i.e.BORIVALI/VIRAR/CHURCHGATE,fans are on.and sometimes that trains r empty particullarly at night. So if the switches can be installed two ways switches, and motorman switches OFF the fans.then if passengers who enters that coach if he requires the fan he will switch ON THE FANS.h ecan because its two way switch.
this way we can save the wastage of crores of rupees, and electricity & can implement all over india.

I don't feel worth commenting on the issues as at many places don't agree for whats happening like spending money on The great warrior of India Chatrapati Maharaj Shivaji 3600 crore is big amount. Also with demonetisation there is almost no change in attitude of government officer they want there share to pass the files. They say government is doing there job & we are doing our job

5. In many western countries, they have a system of issuing tickets for so many kilometers valid for certain period. The ticket holder is allowed to travel from one city to another, stay there few days and then continue the journey to another city with the same ticket. For example, if we have train services that connect several holy cities and if you issue this type of tickets, it will be very convenient to pilgrims.
