Inward focus and not outward focus: Let us not focus much on how others are doing this. Look at what country needs from countryman. What is the picture of Ideal citizen in our mind? Look at ground reality and assess gap. Considering ground realities, build policy that will reduce gap rapidly. We do not want to follow models of past super powers (USSR) or current superpowers. We build our model based on our aspirations, values, strengths and weaknesses. Must drastically reduce in-equality.

India is not comparable to any country on the earth. Following inherited policy or importing same from successful model elsewhere completely wrong. Understand aspirations of Indians and build policy to make those aspirations a reality. As Indian citizen, my aspirations for India 1. Highest level of integrity at all levels 2. Everybody working to multiply GDP 3. Drastically reduce in-equality 4. Technology leadership. 5. Be role model for world by championing health, wealth and peace.

We should involve non political leaders and business men in framing the national education policy. Our education is focused only generating employees not employers. If we involve people who came from rags to riches like Kalpana Saroj (Refer http://www.rockingleadership.com/2016/08/26/this-3-indians-inspiring-story/) who could help to create education policy which could be helped to create inspiring on the younger minds.

Respected sir, Some suggestion regarding education policy.  For quality education at primary level need quality teacher .  Syllabus of govt. primary school should be competitive as private school .  All primary school should be computerized and internet facilities for e- learning and communication.

Present education system focuses on career making,it should focus on character building, also. According to Swami Vivekananda, there are a lot of Doctors, Engineers etc. in our country, but above all true human beings are most necessary. To enrich our morality level we should include the biography of all great persons in our syllabus. The education policy will not cultivate our brain only but our heart(feelings), too.

I am pained to see that parents, not only from educated background but also themselves illiterate, insist on educating their children through English medium rather than the regional language. This is ostensibly because "children of the elite are always educated in English and never in regional languages". At this rate, regional languages will become extinct. I wish to suggest a policy change that can reverse this trend. Please attachment.

Our education system is focused on general education and not employ-ability issue. Lot of career counselling books are available , they should be taught as part of curriculum.

Few things can do on employ-ability front for private sector. 1. Ask student to regularly read the various job portal like monster , naukri etc, to keep in focus what is required in the market. 2. Ask student to read economic for financial news paper regularly to understand whats up in the business world. 3. Student should keep a wide contacts of people who can help them. it does not mean wasting time. but meaningful relation with people who can help them.
