MeitY is seeking comments from citizens on the Draft Report on Circular Economy in Electronic Waste.

It has drafted an action plan report which provides recommendations on feasible solutions of circular economy transformation in the e-Waste Sector based on best global practices.

The recommendation includes the entire value chain of the products including raw-material acquisition, design & manufacturing of components, consumption, end-of-life, and recycling, and recovery stages, secondary raw materials, circular economy evaluation indicators, etc. to ensure

•Security of critical materials
•Product-life extension
•Responsible disposal
•Strengthening Recycling Systems
•Sustainable Manufacturing Process

Much Research and innovation is needed in e-waste management process. Universities Research Institutions should focus on this issue. It's a bug problem. Every year e-waste is increasing as the usage is also increasing. Certain e waste products emit radiation also. It causes much environmental pollution. The earth and water can be polluted with the accumulation of heavy metals Lead,Mercury, Cadmium, Arsenic,etc.These cause mental retardation and genetic mutations too.Flora&Fauna will be affected

Proper guidelines for usage that increase durability of the e-products should be given in the form of brochure in a readable format.Genrally companies supply a brochure with small font size and it cannot be readable. For nominal sake, they are giving it. It should be in a readable format.developed countries are dumping much e-waste that cause much damage to the environment.E-waste should be properly collected and disposed following environmental norms.Companies should bear responsibility in this

Adapt 3R system.1.Reduce,2.Recycle and 3.Re-use are most essential principles that we have to apply in case of e-wastage. First we have to reduce the usage to the maximum extent. Unnecessary usage must be stopped.Discriminate usage is advisable.Furthr without wasting e- waste materials, we can recycle to prepare another type of product. Finally recycled products can be re-used for usage. This policy can minimise the e-wastage.All users must be aware of it and should implement the same ideology.

Eco-friendly materials should be used mostly in manufacturing.Non hazardous &less radiated materials can be allowed in the manufacturing.Toll free number, address and dealers details should be supplied along with cash bill.Buy back system should be attached to all electronic companies to avoid improper disposal of e-wastage.It should be strictly implemented.Like service centres, e-waste collecting centres should also be set up along with dealers.This can prevent improper disposal of e-wastage.

E-waste management is very important in recent days as e-wastage ia going on increasing day by day dili to increased usage of electronic gadgets like mobiles, laptops, computers etc. Many people are not aware of these diaposal when they are spoiled or damaged. So it should be collected by authorized agents or agencies who dispose e waste properly. While purchasing and selling and throwing away e-waste,all users must know the Do's&Dont's and companies, manufacturer &dealer should give guidelines

E-waste recycling also prompts manufacturers to offer buyback incentives. Customers receive lowered costs when they agree to participate in buyback programs and manufacturers save on the price of raw materials. It’s a total win-win situation! E-waste recycling also eliminates the cost of maintaining waste sites and the costs involved with transporting e-waste. Often, e-waste is shipped to overseas dump sites, which costs the taxpayers hefty sums of money.
