The Central Government Ministries/ Departments and Central Public Sector Undertaking are mandated to procure 25% (as amended in 2018) of their annual value of goods or services from micro and small enterprises vide Public Procurement Order Notified vide S.O. 581 (E) dated 23rd March 2012. Under the policy, 358 items are exclusively reserved for procurement from MSEs which help in the promotion and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises and play a critical role in fostering inclusive growth in the country.

The existing list required a relook to find out the relevance in the present-day context of technological change, and the growth of small and micro enterprises. The Internal Technical Committee of the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has prepared a revised list of 469 items (including Goods & Services) to be reserved for exclusive procurement from MSEs.

Stakeholders, Industries associations, MSME units and the General public are invited to share their suggestions and comments on the list of 469 items reserved for exclusive purchase from MSEs under the Public Procurement Policy.

Hope they r not building material especialy sanitary, washers plumbing taps & workmanship .Have u ever wondered the best names r toto jaquar american std . None of the indian products match here . They wll never ask any 1 in urban. taps leaking , commodes overllowing drippling , washbasins r splashers. Just no sense of product fitness for use . In america u can enforce warranties immediately no qs asked .& if for some reason u end up in court probability the customer winning is 99 % with 10x the compensation . such huge deterrence. transparency / disclosures have no relevance if the fitness for use fail is demonstrated by the name and normal use of the product even by illiterates . Can India ever get it . One change it takes ! Inda therefore failing , they charge 2-3x of international products excluding related losses .If india cant make it make import duty free . Daily 24*7 pain of living PM In their own houses & parliament they fix imported best . hindu $$ baap ka maal.
