To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until 15th July 2023.

Multiple Dimensions of Assessment: Expand the assessment criteria to encompass multiple dimensions of institutional performance. This can include factors such as teaching and learning outcomes, research and innovation, faculty qualifications and development, student support services, infrastructure, governance, community engagement, and global perspectives. A comprehensive assessment framework will provide a holistic view of an institution's strengths and areas for improvement.

Transparent and Standardized Criteria: Establish clear and transparent criteria for assessment and accreditation that are applicable to all higher educational institutions. These criteria should be developed in consultation with stakeholders, including educators, administrators, students, industry experts, and accrediting bodies. Standardization will ensure consistency and fairness in the evaluation process.

Dear Sir, We should look in to fee structure.... Fees should be affordable.. We see lots of People helping students for High fees for higher education.. Those Students taking someone's help /Loan are burden with Obligation. So if Govt ask Educational Institute for affordable fees or Students can be given some subsidy. Coming 25 / 30 years are Crucial for India.. if Young students given correct direction /Assistance /Help in all ways of Selecting their Course /Selecting right Univercity /Affordable fees..... Then they will get boost and will be motivated.. With Right policy it would help to get Young force ready tp make India better in next 25/30 years... Infact govt should make plan for next 50/100 years and as per plan they should think how much new telent required in which field accordingly govt should prepare course and make it public so ir would help students to decide their course. this will also stop to some extent our young telent going abroad

students from higher education institutions should be provided with platform only students access & minister of education department should have not local authorities, that way students can discuss facility or persecution of local authorities have done based on education, institutions facilities, institutions faculties mentality, students mentality all over India. There will be chance of manipulation of students opinion on base of threats, abusive action, or competition between institutions

Government should reduce the seats for regular degree courses which have become obsolete in terms of giving jobs, rather increase the seats for vocational and skill based degree courses which will give more jobs and produce more entrepreneurs. Every university or college has 100-150 seats allotted for each regular subject, it means 150 students study that particular subject investing 4 years now as new education policy for example we take history as regular subject my question is how many of these students will make career in feild of history? I think and as per my observation not more than 20 per class of 150 then why should 130 students waste their years studying history. We take 30 more cracked some competition and got jobs What about remaining 100 they go jobless By limited seats for regular subjects and strict counselling for admission in these subjects you get quality output.
