In our education system each one of us should aspire to be a "worthy unit of humanity’

All publicly funded schools, IITs IIMs and central funded university should have 6 months of mandatory training in government and social sectors. I myself am an IIT and IIM pass out. In return for the service, even fees decrease can be sought. This will not only provide training to students but also bring them closer to society and its problems.

A lot of research is going on in India, and govt. gives a lot of grant.It should be analysed and verified that does this research is actually benefiting the society. But our authorities believe more in API Scores , we recently developed a mobile app which can be very useful to keep ganga clean and can prove an Add ON to Namami Ganga project but instead of promoting such things we believe in putting crore of money in making committee for research to keep ganga clean.

Students' involvement in Social responsibilty begins from school years. Activities must be organised to ensure participation of student , be it for creating awareness of traffic safety, hygiene, anti tobacco, cleanliness drive, waste management, garbage recycling etc. This will empower them to take up CSR activities even when they are employed in organisations. It will also serve to encourage them to take up social entrepreneurship.

I am of the opinion that there should be no reservation in higher education. The higher education should be only in the undergraduate courses and not in post graduate courses. The only reservation is for Military candidates in IIT and IIM so that our defence forces get best engineering minds to develop state of art equipments. This reservation should be limited to 10% of the intake of IIT and IIM and not higher.

First, thre should be holistic approach to admission. This will ensure that the kids care for society. In this every kid will start thinking about society. That's the main reason America is far more developed. And this things should be with course also.

Course designing is to be in such a way that student do their experiments amongs the society.students will learn & make themselves familier with grass root societal needs.eg. Health report,disease report,economic status of region,survey report regarding chhattisgarh plants.Such type of activities will help vice versa.students will learn & society will educate & aware.

This can be done by connecting the content as well as the practices of education to the local community, to industry and to society at large. Students must have a lot more ‘learning by doing’ opportunity through which they become sensitized to social challenges in their immediate environment and become involved in dealing with them. Educational institutions must be given the responsibility of spearheading this effort and their contributions must be rewarded during accreditation and rating.

1.Competitions must be initiated through which techniques, ideas & concepts must be taken from students to solve general issues. 2.Smart students could be selected by merit through a test conducted, these students could form solutions for all the generally identified problems of societies. 3.Few programs must be initiated for social & environmental awareness program. 4.A scholar society of students must be created where smart ideas must be discussed to help people & upgrade govt schemes & plans.

I am glad to share a thought in Education system beyond Engineering/B.com/B.Sc./BBA/ graduation. After graduation every year many talented resources are travelling aboard to pursue M.S/MBA or other Masters. Many of them are successfully completing PH.D’s and settling down in aboard. I request forum members to review the enclosed document and like if the proposal really links higher education to society.
