The public schools in India are mired with several problems, important are : 1) Accountability of Teachers 2) High absenteeism of pupils 3) Lack of basic infrastructure 4) poor quality of teaching as evident from survey by Pratham. Sol: Accountability of teachers can be enforced by enabling active participation by parents & village elders through Gram sabhas or by constituting School Administration Committe that includes parents & elders representation apart frm other stakeholders. I want the Reservation System eradicated from our Education System. I fell that Reservation can be eradicated over period of time. For instance, A person from the SC/ ST is eligible for the education under the reservation quota and gets good education. Once he/ she finishes the education, they get good jobs which improves their financial condition. Hence they should be removed from that reservation list since that can support their children's education. By this poverty line can be eradicated.

I think every school should promote Sanskrit as a language from 5th to 10, today, it is not available and if available, then it is taught only for couple of years which will not help. Another point is there should be some vocational as well as self defense subjects made compulsory, which will enable kids to face the world. Last but not the least there should be some kind of sealing on the Fees, as now the Education is becoming a business in contrast to what our cultural heritage is ...

Central institutions create intelligent people across the nation. But most of them move out to other countries to develop other nations. The teachers in the premier institutions should motivate the students to involve themselves in the development of their own country(India). Government should create job opportunities for students from premier institutions and place them in the government offices.

I want all school to have 1) Selfdefence-karate, etc, 2)agriculture-gardening, farming,planting an rice, wheat, 3) mechanism of all components, like cell phone to plumbing motor,& tailoring,apart from their so called UK based curriculum so that it will make students creative, and highly selfconfident to earn their living rather than depending from US outsourced work. this current education systm is just creating an stress rather than creativity & self confidence.weekly3hr will energise-hornskill

Subject: Reformation of course contents of state medium high school Science subjects. Situation which makes us in taking the decision: State medium good students (who have scored more than 80%in 10th) are not scoring good marks in 12th examination in science streams. Reason behind it: 1> State medium high school science books have covered all the knowledge which is required to start a career in higher study but failed to reflect it in results. scientific terms are written in local language.

Look at academicearth.org. We need them and their infrastructure to build our professors in esteemed institutions to participate and get graded. Don't give the info free. Let us charge a small amount. Assume people can go to post office and pay the fees. They will get a coupon worth equivalent for the amount. That same can be used on the site. This method will allow even those who are not comfortable with online banking; though I would prefer them to use online banking way to pay.
