Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Topic: How should a farmer handle the money received in Land Acquisition? In present, the Government will give the Farmer 4 times the price of the Land Acquired. There are some arrangements for future job for a family member and giving back some developed land as well. But there is no discussion on the best utilization of that money received in Land Acquisition. A farmer has never seen such huge money and he is incapable of handling that money.

India has the highest arable land in the world. Still our agriculture output and production per acre is very low compared to few developing countries. This is due to storage/climate/pricing/basic education to farmers etc. Having good intention is not enough but willingness to do is at most important to achieve our desired goals. Again I am requesting the govt to launch an exclusive 24 hrs agriculture channel. This would change the life of every farmers in the village and his family.

my view on Land Acquisition Bill: avoid totally fertile multi crop land to improve socioeconomic condition of affected farmers/labour goi should give minimum monthly pension (say, Rs.3K/farmer family & 1.5K/labour family) for next 20 years plus one employment/family. Out of 4 times of market value, 25% should be kept as FD with GOI for 20 years for tax free pension. open skilled training centre near to affected areas for stipend based (Rs.1.5K/m) professional training to farmer/labour

With technology you can definitely do anything, but you can never download food from internet, Only farmers can create that. They should be happy, and educated.Every farmer's family should have at least one person who is educated. He can take care of the rest.In our PM's app we should have one section specially for farmers with all useful news feed.

Respected Sir, किसान की बिना सहमति के जमीन का अधिग्रहण नहीं होना चाहिए क्योकि उस जमीन को उसने व उसकी कई पीढ़ियो नो अपने पसीने से सीचा है।

The only way we can help farmers is by providing them the necessary education to utilize the resource effectively and wisely , they should also be the ones who should have all access to technology.Even if we are not able to educate all farmers we can definitely appoint a learned officer in every village who would help the farmers. The second important thing is to stop the middle man.Every city should have a Farmer's market where a farmer can price his own goods.

Respected Sir, मेरा आपसे अनुरोध है की आप Rain water harvesting के विषय मे भी सोचे यदि हम केवल जमीन से पानी निकालते रहेगे तो आने वाले समय मे जल संकट पैदा हो जाएगा ।

We need to bring in revolution in agriculture & farming like IT & TELECOM, we should move towards exporting farmers like our IT/DOCTORS/ENGGNRS ETC..professionals. Most countries like USA/CANADA/AUSTRALIA/JAPAN etc. population is growing old they are finding difficult to cultivate land and produce farm output. We need to train our local farmers and provide them better technical know how of this country and machines. Our farmers/agriculture students can get jobs and better life for there family
