Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

Presently in our Telangana State fallowing CCE ( Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) Method which does not let the children to by hard. In SSC and Intermediate mall practice is going on. students getting more marks rather than knowledge and moral values. We have to stop mall practice. We have to develop moral values rather than giving importance to marks and certificate. An Exam is to be taken on SADHACHARAM (Moral Values). We have to give More marks to internal exam than external.

See the pain that students are going through. Its my own experience as well. I am one of the top professionals in a 3000+ people IT company, however I was rated poor due to subjects like Chemistry, which has no use in my life. I really wish that the evaluation system becomes realistic, driven by industry and responsive. There should be no class system, Industry demands levels in subjects. Students independently get evaluated using uniform evaluation system.

Avoid the word "examination" and use "evaluation" for conducting tests. Should be according to students level on subject base, work experience and personal habits.

Class 10 examination should be there based on the marks and not on the grades as attaining the highest marks among the class creates a feeling of competence among the students. Boards are necessary to create the fear and the pressure on the students. Futher the ratio of division of work can be done for eg.70% of the checking can be done by the boards and the remaining 30% can be checked by the school itself.

Class 10th board examination should not be optional it should be compulsory as it helps the child for studies and learning presently because of the optional 10th board examination students and there parents have become reluctant towards studies. CCE should be modified realistic and according to the standard of the class.
