Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

For board exams There should be two type of exams per subject. 1. Objective exam (online computer based multiple Choice Exam) Advantages of Objective Exam I. Proper Evaluation of candidate's learning ability and knowledge. II. No interfere of teachers or other staff members that are responsible of partiality between students III. Students will have to Read NCERT books. Impression of other helpbooks could be reduced which are printed with slogan “ Safalta ki guarantee ” etc.

For board and university exams internal marks should be abolished and entire marks to be determined by board or university open book exams which should be evaluated by 2 external examiners and average marks recorded.

Encourage Open Book exams from the appropriate level of Class. But the questions asked should be such that they are not direct questions which can be copied from the Text ,but can be answered only if you are familiar with the concepts. This way memorising will not work and students have to be familiar with the concept to pass in the exams. Once implemented exam stress can be avoided. Open book exams to be encouraged from school to Post Graduation

Present Examination system of grading the students at school level in class X, can a teacher dare to give C grade to the wards of local Administrative Officers/ Police Officers/ the members o school management committee ? If not than where the real assessment of learning and values happened equally for all. Hence, marks system, centralized examination for class X with complete fairness and evaluation to other centers is the best suitable remedy in which at least 50 % priority should be given to

इससे राष्ट्र का पैसा भी बचेगा दूसरा इस विद्यालय में 4 अध्यापक हो जायँगे। पढाई की गुणवत्ता बढ़ेगी। अभिभावक बच्चे को रोज़ विद्यालय लायंगे तो उनका सहयोग और सजगता बढ़ेगी। प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण भी बढ़ेगा। यह सब इसलिए क्योकि ग्रामीण शिक्षा को सही दिशा और दशा चाहिए।

प्राथमिक शिक्षा की स्थिति सरकारी विद्यालयो बड़ी दयनीय है। क्योंकि एक तो जिन लोगों को इसका लाभ लेना है वे इसको सरकार और अद्यापक की ज़िम्मेदारी मानते है। उत्तराखंड में ही 10% विद्यालय 10 से कम छात्र संख्या वाले हैं। जहाँ 2 अध्यापकों पर संभवतः सालाना 8 लाख रूपये खर्च होते है। 11वें मूल अधिकार के अंतर्गत हमें बच्चों को पढ़ाना है। यदि ऐसे विद्यालयों को नजदीक के विद्यालयों में समायोजित किया जाये और प्रोतसाहन राशि के रूप मेंबच्चे की 70-80 % उपस्थिति पर 500 या 1000रूपये TA के रूप में दिए जायें।
