Examinations should cease to be the be-all and end-all of education – for ease of management of scale, exams have become too standardised and one-dimensional. Points are explained in the attachment.

all the results should be in form of grades instead percentage and it should not be displayed or informed to all students. I feel students/parents starts lot of comparisons and that lead to reasons for depressions in many cases which ultimately cause lot of social pressure on students and then suicidal tendencies. Some schools are doing that but not all the schools. Even teachers does bias to students who are ranker or topper and they are allowed to participate in certain activities.

From the beginning, goverment encourage students to make projects on renewable energy.

CCE is a nice initiative but we cannot play a blame game when a teacher favours a child over the whole lot.So we must prefer that the child must be assessed by a jury other than the regular subject teachers also.
A child must be shown his own corrected answer sheets and an answer copy must also be provided to the students. So,that they get to know their mistakes. The system has been made transparent so we must try that the answer sheets of class 9 and 10 must also be made transparent to students.

Board Examination Question Papers should aim to test the
understanding of the subjects by the students and not their
memory. The score a student obtains should truly reflect his
understanding of the subject.

First thing that have to be done in School examination system is that, do't ask questions to the student that are all ready in the exercise of the text book , this leads the student to mugging the answer so always try to ask always new question. Ask few question to the student but question should linked with at least two or three concepts that will leads student to understanding the concepts not thr mugging of the answer.

1. CCE by CBSE should be discontinued. The aim might be good in theory, but its true spirit cannot be achieved in a poor country like India where there are 40 or more students in a class. It has become CUT COPY EXAMINATION.
2. Target of education should not be 100% literacy. It should be quality education for the maximum.
3. Internal Assessment marks system in schools should be removed/minimized. All teachers are not angels and should not be expected to be one.
4. MCQs should be increased.

As per my experience, i believe that we need to have volunteers conducting exams in the school. a test at the beginning of academic year, a test in the mid year and one test at the end. The test should not be taken as test but as game where the child feels like any other period of the class and enjoys. The teachers will not know who the volunteers are and neither the kids know who they are. In this process, kids do their best and teachers performance is also been recorded.

Semester approach of exams (exam only for the chapters covered in the semester) for classes below 12th is not appropriate. It releases the pressure from student and their grade goes up because of very less chapters, causes the low quality output in longer run. Even the removal of ranks and giving grades (by range) is not a good idea as this reduces competition among students! No pressure, no competition ... final result "Nothing". Enforcement of Western edu- policies will lead to unemployment.
