Satna is one of the leading industrial cities in the heart of central India, Madhya Pradesh. Also referred as a Cement City, Satna contributes about 8 to 9 percent of India's total cement production. Satna district houses some major religious tourism spots including 'Chitrakoot' and 'Maihar'.

The city is the gateway to the Vindhya region and is located on NH-75 and the Howrah-Allahabad-Mumbai rail corridor.

In round-1 of Smart City Challenge, Satna scored 48.97 % and was ranked 55th among the 98 participant cities.
The Municipal Corporation Satna is upgrading its Smart City Proposal (SCP) for Round-2. The earlier proposal envisaged development of a Greenfield Township in city suburbs and other smart initiatives for Solid Waste Management and Urban Mobility in the city.

A continuous engagement with the citizens at every stage is of utmost importance to re-shape our Smart City Proposal. The Municipal Corporation of Satna hereby invites suggestions from citizens of Satna for upgrading our ‘Satna- Smart City Proposal’. Your valuable suggestions in context to the proposal uploaded Smart City Round-1 are welcomed.

Yaha ka education level itna achha nahi hai isliye kam se kam achhe colleges banaye jaye aur industry hone ke baad bhi yaha berojgari bahut hai.

satna me medical trarment ke liye aaj bhi logo ko jabalpur ya Nagpur jana padta hai isliye kam se kam metro hospitals ya medical college banaye jaye jisse logo ko asuvidha na ho kahi bahar treatment ke liye jane me.

Satna Smart City ko banane ke liye sabse pehle yaha ka traffic aur traffic Rules ko improvement kiya jaye, Auto Ricksaw Stand ko alag jagah establish kare aur ek new bus stand bhi establish kiya jaye

This industrial tourist land have lots f potential just need lil support from govt in field of 1 industry management 2 water management Traffic management -need good traffic controls Need good education system We need goodb assistance for plantation which can fight both water nd pollution problems Water harvesting is also imp.aspect We r still far away in edu sector as we dnt have personal university Agri assistance hubs can also work in primary growth f country and satna

Waste Exposure and poisoning Prevention scheme should be executed properly. Avoid collection of water and drains near hospitals and in city. N yes There is no good emergency service in Satna. Some separate police department should be constructed to ensure availability of police within minutes in case of emergency. Same should go for Ambulance and medicals as well.

Shud Plant more and more trees to make city greener and control pollution. There are number of places in line where this can be done in Satna. For long term solution Environment outreach and Education Group should be setup to coordinate response to the public regarding environmental health issues. And maintain/work on Pollution reports to maintain cleanliness in society.
