India has a rich legacy of practices and knowledge touching different spheres of life and a scientific heritage traversing various Science & Technology (S&T) domains. The traditional knowledge of India is available in various forms such as classical texts, manuscripts and/or as oral communication that has been passed on over thousands of years. This valuable knowledge is often part of our daily practices as well. Some of the traditional practices are livelihood means of the concerned knowledge holders. Our traditional practices exist in synergy between human needs and nature, often balancing resources and requirements in a local context. However, with time, India’s Traditional Knowledge Systems are eroding rapidly, and the nation has also been witnessing erosion in people’s faith towards our traditional knowledge. A grave concern is the mindless attitude of some to mimic non-Indian cultures and disdain for our traditions. It’s important to recognize that traditional heritage is an integral part of any country’s development and progression. This calls for necessary attention and action from the concerned stakeholders in the country to build further on our scientific inheritance. Only a well-informed and balanced society can drive the advancement of the country.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and President, CSIR Society, Shri Narendra Modi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is spearheading the efforts to collaborate with the relevant partners from across the country and implement the national initiative SVASTIK (Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge) for communicating India’s traditional knowledge to the society. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is the nodal organization to implement this national initiative.

The prime mission of the initiative is to conserve scientifically validated traditional practices, and instil confidence in citizens regarding the scientific values of our traditional knowledge/practices.

We invite the suggestions of academicians, researchers, subject-matter experts, students, NGOs, and the public on how to instil confidence in society about our traditional knowledge and practices. This will help us in our mission to inculcate a scientific temper and instil confidence in citizens by stimulating the Science-Scientist-Society connect towards our traditional knowledge and practices.

india is one and only country that have unbelievable tredition, culture, science and technology. in our old culture and tradition the science and technology mixed together to form a extraordinary remedy to veries diseases and infections.in our Indian technology our ancients construction some temples , architecture that not yet got any conclusions by any scientist in the world, thats our Indian tredition and culture com science and technology.

Russia Ukraine War # Russia - Ukraine War : GOI is helping War hit Ukraine by sending medicines. GOI can consider sending Biscuits , Cakes & Tetra Packed Milk to civilians of Ukraine. Our Foreign High Commissioners in Poland, Hungary , Russia can also procure necessary food items and send through available transportation . Sanitary Paper Roll Napkins for the usage of nature calls.

हम सभी को अपनी जड़ो से जुडा रहना चाहिए। पेड चाहे कितना भी बड़ा हो जाये, अपनी धरती से जुडाव नहीं छोड़ता। हमें भी हमारे प्राचीन ज्ञान का फायदा उठाना चाहिये । हमारी परंपरागत तरीकों को छोड़ना नहीं चाहिये । प्राचीन विचार व परंपरा अनुभव के आधार पर होते थे जो उस क्षेत्र की भौगोलिक संस्थानों पर आधारित होते थे । और उनके सबसे बेहतरीन उपयोग को दर्शाते थे । तो क्यों नहीं हम उस स्वर्णिम इतिहास का फायदा, हमारे सुनहरे भविष्य व उज्वल वर्तमान के लिये काम में लें ।

India is a country which consists rich heritage and traditional scientific practices. In this traditional knowledge is very important in India. First of all we take all the necessary steps from basic level. Like that we encourage the school students in different ways to understand them about technology in India. Next step we encourage younger generation to follow and take necessary steps to pass information to the public. Then every citizen in India will become more powerful in all over the world. We used so many technologies like social media, whatsApp, Facebook, twitter, like this so many apps are used to encourage people.

WB seems to be being ruled as a country outside India. The wordings of the central Government such that, the CM should be removed from its chair and she should be convicted and brought to such action, that, any other state should not dare to copy this practice. This is happening in Kerala and also Orissa BJD is following the foot steps of Bengal. It is high time to change policy so that centre should take over…It requires fierce determination and iron will to give justice to sufferers..

Food and snacks makes everyone connected to our pride and history. Our children are missing variety of healthy and tasty food and snacks. Biriyani or pasta or pizza or chocolate or coloured candies or biscuits or any maida items cannot beat our yummy food varieties. Encourage more small scale enterprises which can make and sell healthy food and snacks. Not only the children, adults are equally missing these. Make these available in schools, colleges, offices, and online too. There is no point in saving so much of money by any means while the future generations cannot have healthy life. Focus on healthy food is important.

I am Dr. T. Bhavani, PhD in Chemistry currently working as an IP consultant with Lifeintelect Consultancy PVT.LTD, Bangalore. My suggestions are: 1India has tremendous potential in the fields of science and technology and a very young nation with the highest percentage of educated youth who can contribute to the knowledge front. 2. Our traditional knowledge contained in our ancient texts, scriptures should be tapped properly and brought into use. 3. most of our traditional knowledge is either in Sanskrit language or with our tribals and Adivasis who have preserved it securely since ages. 4. Our government should take initiative to involve Sanskrit scholars, Tribals, Adivasis, R & D organizations, Universities and Laboratories to work together and bring out the hidden treasure of our traditional knowledge, analyze, test, validate and bring it to use in developing our intellectual wealth in the form of patents, trademarks, designs and copyrights.

Before introducing subjects on Yoga sciences and Indian culture, the safety and security of the students, teachers, school premises and citizens should be assured by local state Government and wherever the state fails there should be nation wide policy to change over of security responsibility to central government like CRPF or CISF….followed by president rule in the state…
