Sir, Namskar
Recently visiting govt. offices in Belgavi, Karnataka, felt inconvenienced over finding name plates in Kannada ( script ) only.
Reimplementation of three language formula is in the interest of national unity and integrity.
Bi lingual inscriptions stating government policies in ancient India underlines traditional wisdom in governance.
British made intelligent use of Roman script to overcome language barriers .
Let's use both local and English languages in Govt. offices all over.

Appreciation of the value of traditional knowledge is growing. This knowledge is valuable not
only to those who depend on it in their daily lives, but to modern industry and agriculture
as well. Many widely used products, such as plant-based medicines, health products and
cosmetics, are derived from traditional knowledge. Other such valuable products include
agricultural and non-wood forest products as well as handicraft. Traditional knowledge can
make a significant contribution to sustainable development.
Most indigenous and local communities are situated in areas where the vast majority of the
world’s genetic resources are found. Many of them have cultivated and used biodiversity in a
sustainable way for thousands of years. Some of their practices have been proven to enhance
and promote biodiversity at the local level and aid in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

Traditional knowledge is the knowledge, innovations and practices of indigenous and local communities around the world. Developed from experience gained over centuries and adapted to the local culture and environment, it is transmitted orally from generation to generation. It tends to be collectively owned and takes the form of stories, songs, folklore, proverbs, cultural values, beliefs, rituals, community laws, local language, and agricultural practices, including the development of plant species and animal breeds. Sometimes it is referred to as an oral tradition for it is practiced, sung, danced, painted, carved, chanted and performed down through millennia. Traditional knowledge is mainly of a practical nature, particularly in such fields as agriculture, fisheries, health, horticulture, forestry and environmental management in general.

Quotes about India on Spirituality
“If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.” – Max Muller

The richness of our culture and heritage is undeniable . It is the reason why we are proud of our legacy . Recently one of my friend in US was diagnosed with mouth cancer . After surgery the doctor advised him to rinse his mouth with warm turmeric water to fasten the healing process . A simple spice used in almost every Indian household it’s effects are that potent.. to be used for cancer patients .. it’s awesome news .. in fact I have with me this extremely old .. nearly a century old ayurveda book which has remedies from piles to paralysis but no one wants to read this storehouse of cures …….. what an absolute waste

Depth in Indian Tradition and practices is multi-dimensional and complex hence most times it is unreachable. Just take an example of YOGA - western countries made it simple and adaptable for common people. QuickFit yoga is practiced so quickly by mass people as compared to difficult asanas. VEDAS are not just religious text; it brings wisdom in life at various stages. There should be variety of topics in PhD degree to explore Indian Traditions. Thesis can be examined through efforts in simplifying Family life, Law, Business and Politics. This will navigate us from Theoretical graduation to Degree of practicing knowledge.
