Recently, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the webinar on effective implementation of the Union Budget provisions in the defence sector. During his address, the Prime Minister said that the webinar was of great significance as it focused on the important issue of making the country’s defence sector self-reliant.

The Prime Minister said that the defence corridors that are being built in the country today would also help local entrepreneurs and local manufacturing. That is, today, self-sufficiency in our defence sector has to be seen as the empowerment of these two fronts – “Jawan as well as Youth”.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Defence Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:
• Budgeted expenditure for capital outlay in defence increased by approx. 19%, highest in 15 years
• Disinvestment aimed in the sector to increase opportunities for private players
• Reduction in customs duty rates to nil for import of parts by public sector units (under Ministry of Defence) for manufacturing of aircrafts and parts

In defense there are three sector one is army in which I want to go in Indian army to protect my whole country which is great opportunity to protect our country. If I die then no problem but I happy because I given my live to my country. I proud to feel that I am Indian

Prevention is better than cure works in all spheres ! How is it that crores of bangladeshis rohingyas, afghanis, nigerian chinese pakis all regular citizens getting freebies & shamelessly grown to 3x & living in NE/J&K where even Indians can't enter ! How many illegAL deported in > 75 years ! US/UK/Canada and even gulf sends back in lacs/year ! sovereignty my foot ? Have a plan in place and meld your budget to it. Budgeting to your plan "requires that spending decisions be made based on actual revenue, rather than on opportunities that such spending might (or might not) lead to." Instead of spending and dealing with it later, budgeting to your plan forces you to deal with the potential impact any expenditures will have on the business.

Defense is to protect ourselves, to avoid, to track issues etc we are weak in this infrastructure 1.mandate without dashcam no vehicle insurance can be claimed 2.mandate class 9th, 11th and college 1st, 3rd year to undergo NSS, NCC, Nursing training in the nearest Police Training Academy and Medical Training Academy [learning health services and law is important] 3.Studies on faith should be a common knowledge [to avoid social conflicts] 4.Govt staff should learn cutting edge tech skills

I think it is good to increase the budget for defence and it can be done ..... But I think that budget for government officers should be increased especially to those who done work with their full effort and potential....

Sir, I think we should go for more an more Sustainable and eco-friendly investments. It may be infrastructure, Locomotion, etc, and also for energy in the defense sector.
