Recently, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the webinar on effective implementation of the Union Budget provisions in the defence sector. During his address, the Prime Minister said that the webinar was of great significance as it focused on the important issue of making the country’s defence sector self-reliant.

The Prime Minister said that the defence corridors that are being built in the country today would also help local entrepreneurs and local manufacturing. That is, today, self-sufficiency in our defence sector has to be seen as the empowerment of these two fronts – “Jawan as well as Youth”.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Defence Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:
• Budgeted expenditure for capital outlay in defence increased by approx. 19%, highest in 15 years
• Disinvestment aimed in the sector to increase opportunities for private players
• Reduction in customs duty rates to nil for import of parts by public sector units (under Ministry of Defence) for manufacturing of aircrafts and parts

We are currently designing a 5th generation fighter aircraft. I propose that we should design the aircraft keeping in view that stealth technology plays a major role in modern air battles. We should make sure that the FGFA is stealthy.

Like armed force budget, Goverment should have budget that gives 100% scholarship for PHD students all critical sectors. It will not cost goverment much, as we only have 40000 students per year. But this will boost moral of students.Goverment should take more big steps to increase rate of successful completion of PHD students.

I am of the opinion that in the budget, there should be a purchase of weapons made in India and separate amount should be included in the budget to make new technology.

I Tr Mrs Sunita Martin's would like to share my comments on the role of Budget for the defence Forces. The defence Forces are India's life line and keeping this in mind our honourable prime Minister has framed a budget that is very good enough for the defence Forces our our country. If the country's defence forces are well taken care of than we will be well prepared for the worst . The budget that is amount spend on our defence equipments will add a feather into the cap of those protecting Us

I believe that mental State of a Student matters the most. In exam days, students are in so much pressure and in constant fear. I think that we should create an environment that it makes them feel more relaxed and happy because they have to appear in an exam so they should be calmed. Parents should cheer them up. Parents should support them. And should not put baggages of competition on students. Though competition is important but healthy competition should be followed.

The center for Gandhian studies have once indicated that whether an item is of inferior quality or of higher cost, do purchase it , if it is made in our country that way we save our industries. Adding to this concept, A popular statement by US President, his excellency Abraham Lincoln indicates that you purchase a coat made in US, the coat stays in America and the money spent also stays in America. So, adding the two statements, we should be more indigenous so that the technology stays home.

Sir I would like to share a concern on behalf of entire NCC Army wing whose numbers to about 15lakh,I come from one of the remote areas of my district, yet I thrive to be a part of the Indian Army and join the special forces. It’s the uniform of Indian Army that motivates me the most, and I am very excited to wear that uniform. Sir you may know that, both Naval and Air wing of NCC have the uniform of their respective forces. If we have that 15 lakh students will be motivated will join armed forces
