Manthan is a digital platform developed by the Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India to promote collaboration at scale between industry and the scientific research and innovation ecosystem to help meet India’s national targets and United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This platform aims to empower various stakeholders to scale up the interactions with researchers/innovators and facilitate R&D/innovation, share challenges focused on emerging technologies, other scientific interventions, as well as those with a social impact.

Office of Principal Scientific Adviser is pleased to launch a competition to pick the minds of all Indians on “Role of Manthan in empowering women entrepreneurs and startups to scale up innovation for a larger social impact”.
The objective of this competition is to capture intriguing insights about how Manthan is making a difference in Scientific research and innovation ecosystem.

This competition is open to all Indian nationals registered with MyGov, age no bar.
Word Limit for the Idea:
• The idea should be within the 500* word limit.
• The idea should not exceed the word limit. This would lead to disqualification.

Last date for submission of the entries will be 30th April 2023.

Japanese model of industry may be tried. For manufactoring of smaller components of industry, ladies may be preferred, trained then equipped & encouraged to work from home.

There are many ways to empower women, one of which is education. Women empowerment is greatly aided by women's access to education. Education gives women confidence, knowledge, and decision-making power. Government initiatives are also important to empower women in society.

Empowering women is a must if the country wants a better future. If we treat women the same way we treat men, we will make twice as much progress. When women are given more power, they step out on their own in society. This also cuts down on unemployment, which is another big problem our society has to deal with. Women empowerment is important for the success of a family, a community, and even a country. Empowered women can help shape the future of their families by teaching their kids the right things.

Women contribute to the half of world’s population. Their growth is important for a happy society. It is also important to the economic and social growth of the country and the world as a whole. Women with power and respect are responsible for developing a happy family.

Women empowerment is a way to uplift women by giving them their correct rights. In Indian mythology, women are considered as a goddess. We worship goddesses and give them the top place in our house. But when we talk about women, they are not even given their basic rights. Women have several roles to play in their life. She can be a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and many more. But despite all this, she is a woman. She too has a right to live according to her will.

Women empowerment has multifaceted benefits on an individual, society and the nation as well. It plays an essential role in the social and economic development of the nation. It removes the obstructions to women’s progress and frees their minds making them able to make decisions and progress.

Education is the most important factor in empowering women. If women’s empowerment in true sense is ever to be realized, it could be only through education. An educated woman is like a teacher in the family who makes sure that every child goes to school, irrespective of whether it is a boy or a girl. A woman who is educated is able to secure a job for herself and meet her family’s everyday requirements. She becomes financially independent and makes her own decisions. Education brings prosperity not only to the woman and her family but also to the nation. Without education, women empowerment is a distant dream and there is no way Sustainable Development Goals can be achieved. If we want the women to be empowered we must educate them and make the education of girl child mandatory.

Mandatory education of girl child and ensuring that each one of them is sent to school is a grand step towards woman empowerment. An educated woman can well take care of her own needs as well as the needs of her family. They get more say in the political and social setup and are more recognized. Making the women financially independent and safeguarding their interests and rights is the basic fundamental step towards their empowerment. Unless the women are free from gender discrimination and other divisions, an equal and fair society can’t be achieved.

Women empowerment all refer to the empowerment of women to take all decisions from their choice. So that she can take all of the decisions for her social and economic development. Empowerment of women will surely encourage all of the women to stand for their education and the life of their own choice. The women empowerment mission encourages women to be self-reliant. So that she can have positive self-esteem and generate potential in herself to compete with the world and to make the position of her choice.
