The Government of India has been formulating National Housing Policies to provide guidance to the State Governments to meet the growing housing shortage. The first every Housing Policy was announced in May, 1988. The National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy (NUHHP), 2007 is currently under force. A copy of the same is available at http://mhupa.gov.in/policies/duepa/HousingPolicy.2007.pdf. It is desired that the existing policy be revised to reflect the changes in the past years and taking forward the objective of “Housing for All” by 2022.

In this regard inputs are elicited for new “National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy, 2015” on the following:

1. What should be the role of Government of India in promoting “Housing for All” by 2022?
2. What should the State Governments do in achieving the said objective?
3. What should be the role of ULBS’s?
4. What role can the State Housing Boards/Corporations and other state entities play in this objective?
5. What are the key learnings from Urban Local Bodies in implementation of housing programmes?
6. What role can the private sector play in “Housing for All” by 2022?
7. What is the role of industries?
8. What should be the role of individual?
9. How to mobilize financial resources for this objective?
10. What kind of legal and regulatory frameworks are required to facilitate housing in general and “Housing for All” in particular?
11. How can more urban land be made available for housing?
12. How can linkage between employment/livelihood and housing be made more robust?
13. How to promote new building technologies for faster, robust, sustainable and environment friendly homes especially mass housing?

1. Unified families should be encouraged. 3 / 4 generations staying under same roof & cook same food in same rasoi. This changes the family completely & need for smaller houses goes down & need for bigger houses emerges. It has all advantages of unififed families in long term & absorption capacitites in short run. 2. Nuclear families should be reduced. so requirement of small houses goes down & so much to construct & re construct goes down. 3. Unified families has economic / cost financial ++

Digital India is going to so many cooks and might lead to nowhere. Why state governments can'nt take optical fiber to villages overhead on electric poles. A simple, fast and cost effective model which cable operators are already adapting. BSNL can be asked to maintain it putting a meaningful job to lakhs of its employees. With increase in business, it can be made underground on selective basis. This will save say 5000 crores and time lag.

Housing for all is getting similar to broadband for all in NOFN. To be able to use the imposed facilities, the income level has to increase. Ownership of housing is not priliminary.. Further, a reasonably decent housing has no meaning if the resident can not afford medical facilities, nutrition, employability and increased productivity through education etc. Increase in productivity through health and education coupled with facilitating (not providing) housing is called for.

Now many apartments do not allow visitors vehicles inside. This shopuld change. Apartments should have sufficient parking space for visitor's vehicles also. Then parking on streets will be reduced.

Identification of beneficiary for example those who are having home already will try to apply of or it, second those who are in joint family now they will try to form a nuclear family. Housing for all means it's for individuals or for a family has to be defined properly so identification of beneficiary is important second finishing the project with in time will avoid raising cost for building materials then should avoid intermediaries third these houses should not be sold or rented.

Ordinance on land acquisition showsthat the opposition's words are true i. e modi sarkar is only for corporates. The five points which proves this are as follows:1)not asking any owner of land before acquisition. 2)not giving right to owner to go to court against the acquisition. 3)govt will acquire land for corporates. 4)no time boundation to start project on land acquired. 5)fertile land on which more than one crop is obtained is also allowed to be acquired.This shows that govt works only for?

Sir I seen and heard that property rates increasing very fastly and we use the world development behind that buy actually who is behind that is a broker.how???? I explain if a society have 50 houses and buy at a rate of 50 lac per house but if one house sold at one crore all houses rates increases. And middle man is behind that in order of gain profit he sell it at higher prices so that land rates increases I'm promptly

super tall but earthquake resistant buildings filled with basic amenities which can accommodate many families and affordable to poor n low income group ppl can solve the problem, specially in metros like delhi

less than 1 % people in india own land. now land lord try to hijeck gov. Gov. to beware and take decision for welfare of common man.gov require land for hospital ,school,play ground, factory, and so on and on.Gov .to come out and expose sapports of anti land requisition bill.
