It is imperative that we start looking at educating the citizens about the changes we would have to live with in future and importantly make them more responsible in sustaining the change for good and ensure that the right systems are in place and everyone respects the system for mutual growth and benefit. There has to be a conscious effort to change the mindset of the citizens view towards personal and public property, cleanliness, wastage of resources (water, electricity etc), crime etc.

With due regards to all the people who have submitted their views here, I strongly support many of the demands and needs for a smart(HD)city, however I have not come across someone saying "How can we contribute to make the city smart". Assuming that the government will spend crores to keep up the promise, are we really geared up to change ourselves to the changing environment.

Any city to be called as smart city, The citizens of the city should be smart. Government can give all kinds of facilities, but if citizens are irresponsible, Everything goes down the drain. So the public awareness has to be of highest priority followed by water, sanitation, & dust free roads. When we've such basic amenities, The industries, IT companies will come automatically thereby boosting revenues & facilities. I'd like to see the 2nd capital of Karnataka H-D to be included in the 1st list
