advertisements are in Hindi or in regional languages also. but often it is seen that they finally speak the terms and conditions in English, that too, very speedily so that nobody knows what they speak... for example "Mutual Funds are subject to market rates....." ..they just fulfill the legal requirement like writing :Cigarettes are injurious to health".. which has practially no use. Why they cheat poor investors? such adds should be taken due care of and be made a punishable offence.

FURTHER THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY ASTERIX BELOW SHOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY. IF THERE ARE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT MUST BE SHOWN IN AD ITSELF. OTHERWISE THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY ADVERTISEMENT ON THAT ASPECT.

THERE MUST BE SOME RECORD OF ADVERTISEMENT WITH SOME AGENCY. SO THAT THE PARTICULAR AGENCY/COMPANY CAN BE PROSECUTED AND PENALISED IN CONSUMER FORUMS ETC. THERE MUST BE SOME LAW WHICH PROVIDES FOR COMPENSATION FOR WRONG ADVERTISEMENT.

their should be review committee like the CENSOR Board to review advertisement in respect of certain categories. including all categories would increase corruption and reduce competition

Crowd-sourcing is the Perfect Solution. Review and Ratings website. Where any customer can rate and review the services. Such rating is more powerful and effective than any govt approvals. Its immediate, it works and its easy to implement. Whether fraud doctor or anyone else - Reviews bring accountability.

Advertisements should be rational in their claims. Whenever some thing like a detergent or washing machine is promoted showing all grease / oil / mud getting cleaned by machine /deregent, the viewer is likely to be cheated. Ask them them to run a small clip saying "all the claims are not be true".

No government can control machinery of advertising , what we can do is to make customer more & more aware & empowered with almost complete knowledge through various channels of communication about fake/fraudulent advertising & active about reporting such events so that others can be prevented from taking same risk .
