For Govt Schools:
They are in a pathetic condition, often due to corruption. Infrastructure decay ia not repaired, as money goes into wrong pockets. Teachers not willing to teach or even attend classes.
Parent squads shud form to inspect/report on school infrastructure, teaching , CCA etc.
Or, local RWAs to adopt 1 govt school each in their area, keep watch on education service providers & also help them with tuitions for weak students/sports & other activities.

Subject flexibility at school level shud start sooner (class 8) with high & low level options in all subjects, like internationally accepted education norms in schools.
2. Why shud a student gifted with mathematical skills be forced to study heavy poetry in hindi or sanskrit? He/she can get by with a low-level
Course in hindi focussing on practical everyday usage of the language & focus on area of interest, which is more beneficial to the child&Nation.

1. Schedules of school year shud be synchronised all over the country so that child gets a clean break after 1st and 2nd sem exams. 2. Right now, CBSE Schedule in Delhi gives mid-semester long breaks in summer and winter, leading to exams as soon as school opens. This spoils thevacation and doesnt allow child to relax completely through holidays as exams are at the back of their minds. 3. Incessant testing as in CCE shud stop, so children can learn at own pace and also follow CCA activites.

Instead of making many small schools government should focus on making a big one with every facility a world class school can have. This will give a bigger platform as well as more exposure to children. And not only girls or minorities, everyone will have an environment to grow well.

1. CCE pattern of education in schools is too pressurising as the child undergoes 2-3 tests every week.
2. No break to child for co-curricular activities, as he/she is constantly preparing for tests.
3. At least 45 min/1 hour of exercise/play/sport shud be given to each child first thing in the morning daily in school, so that a healthy generation is produced. If shotrage of staff or space, child can rotate between indoor/outdoor exercises and parent - volunteers can help Organise the sports.

1. Education at School level to be made more practical oriented.
2. Children shud not be asked to mug up concepts, but understand and apply them.
3. My son, in class 8 CBSE, had to learn approx 50-60 pages hand-written notes on 'Cell' in biology, giving detailed sub-cellular structure, but was never shown a cell under a microscope.
4. This is due to inordinate stress on marks/%age/school results in CBSE & college admissns.
5. Testing frequency be reduced, so every child learns at own pace

For Children with Special Needs :
1. All teachers from primary to college level to have mandatory practical training (at least 6 weeks) in special education which may be integrated with B.Ed course.
2. Sensitisation of teachers to children with learning disabilities.
