Gender Biased Laws https://blog.finology.in/Legal-news/gender-biased-laws With each day passing, offences against men are increasing; a crime has nothing to do with gender, and the perpetrator can either be male or female. But our Indian laws mostly consider women as victims as it is usually believed that men are stronger biologically. There has now been a developing realisation of the said fact that male exploitation does indeed take place. There have also been a few countries, such as Canada, Finland, Australia, the Republic of Ireland and most of the states of the USA, that have embraced unbiased and gender-neutral laws in their countries. So, what do you think? Does India also need a gender-neutral criminal law?

Gender Biased Laws against men https://www.rostrumlegal.com/misuse-of-gender-biased-laws/ Anyone who has been awake the last two decades knows how section 498-A of IPC has been heavily misused, dragging innocent men and women into police stations, lock-ups and courts, thus depriving many young children of a happy childhood, many youth of productive careers and many senior citizens of mental peace in the last leg of their lives. The main objective of section 498-A of I.P.C is to protect a woman who is being harassed by her husband or relatives of husband but after going through all the above cases I have come to the conclusion that section 498 -A of IPC is heavenly misused and there are clear instances when this law which is meant to protect the women is used like them as a weapon to harass their husbands and there family. And there is no doubt that there is great need to protect our society from the misuse of these laws

Gender Biased Laws against men https://blog.ipleaders.in/what-are-the-laws-on-gender-neutrality-in-india/ With the progression of time, the needs of the people are also evolving and changing. In such a situation, the legal provisions of a nation also need to be changed and amended as per the requirements of the public. In the current situation, India has made huge improvements in uplifting marginalised genders through its legal provisions. Now, the next step that is needed to further our goal towards gender equality is introducing gender-neutral language to our provisions to make them inclusive without any generalisation or prejudice.

Gender Biased Laws against men The misuse of law by women in India is a serious issue that has been receiving increased attention in recent years. In India, women are often discriminated against and are not provided with equal rights and opportunities, leading to a gender bias in many aspects of life. This gender bias is further exacerbated by the misuse of law by women. There are numerous instances of women using the law to their advantage, often at the expense of men. This practice is not only unethical but also unconstitutional. The Indian Constitution does not explicitly guarantee gender equality.
