Subject: Proposal for National Medical Intelligence Sharing Platform
I propose a National Medical Intelligence Sharing Platform (NMISP)—a secure, real-time system enabling private and government doctors to report unusual symptoms, disease clusters, and treatment anomalies. Frontline clinicians often detect early signals of emerging outbreaks, but lack a unified channel to share insights quickly.
This platform would use AI to analyze anonymized inputs for geospatial patterns, enabling early detection of outbreaks and triggering alerts to health authorities. A centralized dashboard would provide real-time visibility of emerging hotspots and trends.
Integrated with existing systems like IDSP would strengthen public-private collaboration, reduce response time, and enhance national biosecurity. A phased rollout starting with pilot districts is recommended.
This initiative can position India as a global leader in proactive disease surveillance and pandemic preparedness.
