Common man should be train and allowed to perform duties of traffic police for one day.Sometimes eben when I saw the jams in the road I thought why shouldn't I stop here and start helping the cops.I can give at least 1 hr in a week for this purpose at a near by square.By doing this I can not only help the nation but I will understand the problems of police and the government because most of the time we only blame them but by doing their task for one day we will come to know how difficult it is.

As per my observation most of the traffic issues happen because of signal jumping as it hampers all lanes at once. We can install automated self retracting poles on the roads which will come up when the signal is turning red from amber and go back down when it's green. Nobody will be able to jump the traffic signals. And all major juctions usually have broken road surfaces. That also results in extremely slow movement of traffic. Keeping them smooth will also speed up the traffic.

Daily when I go to office I'm stuck in jams in Delhi NCR REGION and I see cars like Toyota fortuner,Scorpio, safari, inova, and almost all 4 wheelers on road with only one person sitting Imagine Wastage Of Resource A 9 Seater Car Having Only One Passenger I Would Suggest To Make It A Compulsion that if a car can hold up to 9 passengers then minimum of 4 should be der .This idea will improve social lives also when people with same shifts will go together

my smart idea is "metro bus".It is same as metro train.you can develop metro bus ,in this way we allow only city buses don't allow the any vehicle,so the buses reached the target within the time.so all employees, students and other business people travel by bus.so decrease the people travel by cars, scooters and other vehicle.so automatically the traffic is control.

I think the first thing we should do is to synchronize the signals. In a normal traffic situation, if a vehicle gets green once, it should continue getting green. The work would require time study, study of traffic at different times and finally changing the signal times. Creating working slots for office going people can be next thing. It requires categorization of traffic going or coming out of a particular area and then work with the companies. Establish virtual offices wherever possible.

Delhi traffic increased every day due to many type of transport. First limit autoriksha and e - rickshaw numbers on road. They are not trained drivers even some are under age and don't have licence. There should be limited public transport carrier for loading goods. As pvt. Buses replaced by orange buses in arranged manner same pvt. Transport carrier should be. Use of bicycle mandatory for short distance. All traffic cop should be honest and strict on duty. Thanks

there are traffic lights everywhere but we still need policemen to control traffic on signals. remove traffic police and let people suffer the traffic jam, and u will see how they start stopping at signals? We need to teach people to drive in lanes as u see in foreign countries.

1 to solve traffic problem we need to make people realize how we are wasting money by not following traffic rules,we need to create proper parking space.

I wish there are pointy spikes at zebra crossing which will force vehicle owners to follow traffic signals compulsory. And functioning of the spike will be controlled automatically as well as manually by traffic police. This will be very dangerous for arrogant speedy peoples so in initial phase we will make mechanism in such a way that spike will go down in ground when hit with tyres of speedy vehicles.People should respect laws & fear for consequences if they are broken & this will lead to it
