Every city have different kinds of people. Mentality of each person is different so each city has to be dealt by different merhods ro remove traffic conjestion. Strictness for following traffic rules should be there. Those not following rules should be charged to a heavy fine. Traffic inspectors should be present at main areas to check the vehicles and the defaulters. No bribing should be done. Cctv cameras don't help so it is a bad idea. Although mentality of people should be altered.

Potholes are one of the major reasons for jams/accidents and wastage of fuel. when a road is constructed within no time potholes come up there and quality of the road goes from worst day by day. Sole reason behind this is substandard raw material used. When contract is given to any contractor, they should give in writing the minimum life of the road. If it is damages before the timeline provided by them, they have to repair it free of cost. This will force them 2 make gud roads in the first time

People change their address but dont change the address in their car R.C book juat to save few money on transfer charges and not to get in any hassle. Because of this RTO Doesn't have accurate database. I suggest- The transfer procedure ahould be made much convineant and charges should be further reduced. Simultaneously fine should also increase in case if anyone doesn't updates the address which will motivate people to uodate their details and also revenue for government.

As we got indigenous navigation system, we can use it to control by automating signal lights which would further helps police guy from asthma related issues. This can be implemented city by city using the money from toll taxes, vehicle fines. In my city I.e., Chennai, share autos are causing inconvenience to the people who are waiting for the government buses. This could be the same issue for other cities as well.

Traffic is the biggest challenge in all the cities. Majorly in metros. 1 of the main reasons is old cars still on roads which not only creates traffic jams if they breakdown on road during peak hours, also polluting the environment many times more. I suggest- cars more than 15-20 yrs should be banned/scrapped. People pay a nominal amount of green tax and continue running the car. If they want to keep the car, the tax amount should increase drastically. It will also increase sales of new cars.

One of the solutions to decongest our cities is to introduce Urban Ropeway system. This ropeway network can be established even in the most congested parts of the city. The cost of developing urban ropeway network will be lesser than developing metro rail network. The establishment of this ropeway network is less time consuming as well.Government can start the pilot projects of Urban Ropeway in Bangalore and Mumbai, where space is very constrained and this will provide solution to traffic problems.
