city planning is must. Grid like pattern of the city like Chandigarh or even better is needed with special corridors for Public transport like bus. Atleast 4 lane road with each lane devoted to separate category of vehicles. Also wherever possible waterway should be developed to lessen the load on roads. Tax exemptions of 2% if a MNC promotes cycles as a mode of transportation like Infosys does it with in its premises at many locations.

Money makes Money. Nobody stops on the stop line and stop after 10-20 meters.Traffic police should fine 20-50 ₹ as e-challan on such bikes, buses and trucks and use that money to install the CCTV camera. Similarly when signal is broked,No helmet, over speeding should be captured in CCTV camera and fine should be imposed and that money can be utilised for Road and traffic infrastructure development. Note:Traffic police should not take any excuse and should not take any bribe. Jai hind.

1) Any kind of technology can't control traffic , first up all the public must ready to accept the changes, if they ready to follow the rules they can manage it. Counseling is the first step for a smart traffic technology, obey rules, be ready for that. ' Consider others first ' If you do that, 50% of the problems get solved, and the rest can manage by implementing, new kind of technologies to traffic dept.

As we see many violations on City roads by citizens themselves, but in absence of traffic cops the fear is no where in their minds. lets talk about Delhi, Now we have CCTVs installed at many places in the city including red lights, however not seen any use of these. What we can do is to chalan the violators of the traffic laws like speed, jumping light, zig zag driving etc.. by closely monitoring the footage or clicking photos using software. Then sent the chalan to them, thereafter law follows.
