How can the latest advances in digital technologies, including use of mobile phones, big data analytics and other information technology solutions be deployed in Smart Cities. The entries may be in descriptive answer types and may use pictures or videos to explain the answers better.
All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
Questions
1. List three municipal services that can be improved with the use of a mobile phone.
2. Describe 3 aspects of your daily life that have improved with the use of the mobile phone.
3. Suggest 5 ways in which the use of big data can make Indian cities into smart cities.
4. Mention 3 new ways that information technology can improve Governance.
5. How can access to information and data make our public spaces safe and secure?
Entry Deadline
• Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015.
Evaluation
The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:
• Do-ability (50%)
• Innovation (50%)
Award
Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts:
Rs. 40,000 - First Prize
Rs. 25,000 - Second Prize

The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot

• All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
• The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only.
• The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less.

5.How can access to information and data make our public spaces safe and secure? a. Unlike other countries our policing depends more on experience and human intelligence. How many chain snatching, small robbery cases are solved and you will get your answer. With CCTV coverage you can track anyone almost immediately b. Rape and crime against women is another issue which can be checked with CCTV

b. Online revenue collection to avoid leaking and deploy resources as per the demand c. Centralized monitoring of ambulances so that they can reach the needy on time. When Pizzas can reach in 30 minutes why not ambulances

Similar to groupon - information flashing on mobile when driving through a particular location regarding the information what you are looking for post analyzing individual pattern. it may be related to health, tourist spots etc. e.g. Try to find the agarsen ki Bawri in Delhi in case you are not aware of that place 4. 3. Suggest 5 ways in which the use of big data can make Indian cities into smart cities. a. Review mechanism for services b. Services like nearby doctors, nearby state run chemist shops, medicines availability can help where to go for immediate help c. Appointments and workflows in Govt offices - online - Mechanism exists but is dysfunctional d. CCTV coverage and analysis - you can't police manually every corner. Have CCTV installed and robust analysis of footages for better policing

Garbage cleaning - MC can have people participating in identifying spots here garbage is a problem and identifying the trouble makers b. Malaria and Dengue - click picture and send to authorities c. unauthorized constructions 2. Describe 3 aspects of your daily life that have improved with the use of the mobile phone a. School related forums for my kid b. GPS for directions c. Traffic Jam updates

भारत को तकनीकी भारत बनाने के लिए सबसे पहले इंजीनियरिंग महाविद्यालय से शुरु करना होगा क्यूंकि अभी भी सरकारी विद्यालयोँ मेँ प्रायोगिक शिक्षा एन बराबर नहीँ दी जाती मैँ भी एक तकनीकी विद्यालय मेँ हूँ अगर महाविद्यालय मेँ प्रायोगिक कक्षा ये बराबर ली जाए विद्यार्थी छोटी उमर से ही तकनीकी मेरठ मेँ लगेगा तकनीकी मे रुचि रखने लगेगा

एक असी वेबसाइट का निर्माण करे जहाँ पर सरकारी महकमो का पुरा विवरण हो।जितनी भी सरकारी नोकरीया निकले उन का भी विवरण हो।सरकार की हर स्कीम का विवरण हो।हर सरकारी काम का भी विवरण हो। ओर इन सब का ट्रेकिंग सिस्टम होना जरूरी है। हो सके तो ऐसी एक app। भी हो। ओर ये सब हिन्दी मे भी होना जरूरी है।

Regulation of subsidy, root cause identification of problems, Plan taxation & Collect evidences for issues related to judiciary 4. Desseminate information regarding actual fees & responsible authorities, recording date of requests and completion in govt. offices & track the activities on services & rise grievences online 5. Access to information builds awareness on the rights and identify right approach/person

every muncipality should hav a mobile app asking me at what time i want waste from my house to be collected, at what time water supply wil b there even if it happens every alternate day and compulsary provision of parking space of atleast two cars n rain water harvesting in evry new house construction permission and 100% waste sewage water treatment...n 100% online land records, n online criminal records so that cheating n fraud stops
