How can the latest advances in digital technologies, including use of mobile phones, big data analytics and other information technology solutions be deployed in Smart Cities. The entries may be in descriptive answer types and may use pictures or videos to explain the answers better.
All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
Questions
1. List three municipal services that can be improved with the use of a mobile phone.
2. Describe 3 aspects of your daily life that have improved with the use of the mobile phone.
3. Suggest 5 ways in which the use of big data can make Indian cities into smart cities.
4. Mention 3 new ways that information technology can improve Governance.
5. How can access to information and data make our public spaces safe and secure?
Entry Deadline
• Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015.
Evaluation
The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:
• Do-ability (50%)
• Innovation (50%)
Award
Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts:
Rs. 40,000 - First Prize
Rs. 25,000 - Second Prize

The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot

• All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
• The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only.
• The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less.

Free and fair adaptation of digital technology through full commitment is the success mantra. Prevalent setbacks seen in government websites has to be tackled sincerely. Silence about email communications, online feedback comments and queries are the main drawbacks of government websites. Inadequate updating of government websites show many wrong informations.IT in improvement of governance will pave the path of progress of our nation.

All the government proposal and plans must know every citizen Even they have interested or not by way of SMS or WhatsApp or other communication using than only that particular proposal and plan useful to particular persons and communities, its easy to do just brief msg method send to phone

we need to have single document valid all over India like pan card, ration card, driving licence voting card. And one should be able to take it from any part of India. Only once one document should be produced for an individual and then u can only transfer it online and get it linked with your other documents.

We need to create a internet connection for govt service which cannot be hacked and will be separately installed, there should be facility of applying for all documents online. So that corruption can be controlled
